got call from this number to my mobile line.
didn't answer it & no vmail was left

Comes up on caller ID as Survey (no doubt to get around the do not call system) however it is a robo call something about contacting them to make sure you are getting the lowest interest rates

I love these calls. it gives me a chance to hone my skills in wasting their corporate marketing funds.
The only way to get even is to answer the call and then waist the sales persons time
I won't put them on the do not call list because they will just put me on the list they compile to sell to their competitors.

I never answer unknown numbers. If it's a legitimate call they'll leave a message. I received a call from this number this afternoon and they left a voicemail full of hot air.

Sometimes these calls are just testing to see if the number belongs to a living, breathing human being. Once verified, your number is sold to other telemarketers and various other spammer scum. Then there's this, http://www.scammersuncovered.com/calling-back-unkown-phone-numbers/. Rule of thumb: if you don't recognize the number don't answer the call.
