Called, no message left, comes up PENNSYLVAN CALL.  As with others, these fools operate from many different one off numbers.  No idea what they want, don't care.

This number calls every day, usually multiple times per day. Because I've blocked the number, my phone never picks up, yet they keep calling every day. The caller is IMC. Have no idea who or what that is. You'd think they would have learned by now that I'm not going to answer their calls, but nooooooooooooo.

    sick & tired
I called the number and there was a pre-recorded message that said "thanks for calling the national rifle association.  We're sorry we missed you but we will keep trying"  and keep trying they are.  I have a call block phone that won't turn off the ringer after I've blocked a number so I know that they still call every single day for about 2 weeks now even though I have blocked their number!  Oh and the message doesn't even give you the option to ask to be put on their do not call list.  ugh

Oh, I answered today.  The gentleman said he was calling from Akron, Ohio - yet it comes through on my phone with no area code (I live in PA as well).  He kept reading from a script and rarely would answer my direct questions.  Kept directing me to the website for a financial statement.

Calls repeatedly. My husband picked up today and they asked for me, and he told them I was not her, and asked who was calling or could he take a message. The guy said his name was Brian but said he would keep trying and hung up

Apparently they do telephone solicitation, according to BBB.
People claiming to be calling from something called “IMC” are calling  on behalf of The NRA.
Their  calls proceed in a basically scammery manner.  They cold call and then refuse to ID themselves.  They never leave a message.
If you call them back, you get a robo-answer.
They operate in a manner similar to scamming debt collectors in that they basically refuse to give you any information.
They focus on yapping their nonsense  to their target and give out a survey on the NRA.
They also want to engage in a little fund-raising while they’re at it.  Their representatives are rude and abrupt.
This IMC is a good place to block.    I’d ignore  any calls received from these people.
Based 800notes research, they’ve called from:
    201-340-5897
    205-558-0274

269-743-4381            Claiming to be making a survey about guns.
270-282-0506             [One entry says:  IMC aka Infocision Management Corporation see http://www.bbb.org/akron/business-reviews/mar ... -akron-oh-7034/ is the predatory telefunder / telemarketing firm hired by the National Rifle Association and others see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=66 to deceptively abuse consumers with never ending solicitation calls. You have the right under the FTC's TSR to demand placement on their internal do not call list. Kentucky doesn't show a charity or fundraiser search database to protect consumers. State of Washington has a good charity / fundraiser database search see https://www.sos.wa.gov/charities/search_detail_cfr.aspx?cfr_id=66 and Florida https://csapp.800helpfla.com/cspublicapp/giftgiversquery/giftgiversquery.aspx]

Anyone being bothered by these calls, should send a cease and desist letter to IMC along
with a request to remove your number from their internal call list.

The Federal Trade Commission, which operates the Do Not Call Registry, says:  A consumer may ask  a third-party telemarketer  (IMC) calling on behalf of a charitable organization. (NRA) not to receive any more calls from, or on behalf of, that specific charity.

If a third-party telemarketer calls again on behalf of that charity, the telemarketer may be subject to a fine .

I picked up the phone on this number and heard them say, "Hello, hello, hello..." which I kept saying, "Hello" back to them.  They didn't stop until I said, "Yes?"  I sure I hope I didn't fall for that scam that tries to get you to say, "Yes" for a recording. :(  I did block the number and reported them to the Do Not Call list.

Have you considered obtaining a call blocking device, app, or phone?  Google (or your favorite search engine) IS your friend!
Realize that the Do Not Call list is NOT a call blocker!

Here are some tried and true methods for reducing or eliminating repeated spam / scam phone calls:  Click on the Info link, below, to see them

    Info
Want to stop repeated telescam phone calls?
    Try these alternatives:

    1.  Do not answer the phone if you see an unknown number on your Caller ID ... let it go to answering machine or voicemail.  Many telescammers hang up after three or four rings.

    2.  If you have a smartphone, get one of the inexpensive or free phone blocker apps at your online app store, and learn how to use it.

    3.  If your cell is not "smart", read the manual to learn how to set up a "group".  Assign the scammer's phone number to that group.  Also assign a "silent ring" to that group.  You will not hear future calls from that number.

3a.  Alternately, assign a "silent ringtone" as the DEFAULT ringtone.  Then, assign your favorite ringtones to friends, family, contacts, businesses, etc.  That way, you will not hear your phone ring, even if the scammer changes numbers!  (Disadvantage: if you forget to whitelist somebody, you won't hear their calls, either)

    4.  For cell phones or landlines: Contact your phone service provider.  They may have a facility or method to allow you to block numbers.

    5.  If you buy things online, you might want to google "phone blocker" to see what devices or apps Amazon or other sites have to offer for landlines or smartphones.

    6.  DO NOT call unknown numbers back without checking who called (800notes is your friend)! All that does is verify your number is "live".  Instead, read this:
    http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/one-ring-cel ... ing-your-wallet

    7.  Consider picking up the phone, then immediately hanging up.  A "real" caller will usually  call you again, within seconds.  A robocaller will not.

If you want to report potential fraudulent or scam calls, here are two pages of links to (mostly government) sites in Canada and the USA were you can report those scams, or learn more about them.

    1.  Look elsewhere on this page (probably to your right) for the Article, "Where to Report Phone Crime"
