Phone rang. Number came up. No one answered. Completely silent. Could this be a call to find out if someone is home?

Wasn't home when call came in but this number appeared on our caller ID. Did not leave a message.

Picked up, said hello a couple times, and they were silent. The name on the Caller ID says "Service Customer"

"Press 5 to find out your discount on electricity".....!@#$%^&* I hung up!

Called 12/6/13 no message, caller ID said Service Customer......

Called 12/6 @ 4:32 I turned off the answering machine and left it ring until they hung up 717-547-5751 Harrisburg, PA.  As I started to type this another call came through @ 4:37, Private Name Private Number.  I think they're the same.  Calls were just too close together.

They called and I did not answer. They called back right away and I did not answer again.

PA, USA this I how it comes up on m cell caller id.  It's called before never leaving a message.  It's anonymous because it's a unattended number.  Meaning it's an automated call or telemarketing call to get you to buy or agree to something.  Definitely contacting the no call from telemarketers department at the government office o FCC

Home Phone rang (Harrisburg PA is what showed on Caller I.D.) and I answered and they had hung up…  Reading the other posts, seems it's an automated system, but I'm on the DNC list so why are they calling my house?!!!!

they call my house numerous times a day..really getting tired of it and I'm also on the do not call list, so why would they be calling??

Same thing for me, I was getting calls for days!  So I called back and got a recording to press 1 to be added to the do not call list.  I did this last week and the calls stopped.

This number comes up for me, with the ID as 'Service Customer' - trying to get you to answer, making you think you have need of their service. Surely we are aware of who we do business with and it isn't robo calls! Sometimes it is also followed by a 'Private Caller' number if you don't pick up the first call. But not always. Just don't answer Unknown, Private Caller or any numbers you don't recognize.

Do not pick up numbers you don't know. Do not call these twits back and don't press their 'take me off your list' option' - it may get you off 'that' list but onto hundreds more who now know they have a viable number to call. Rebroadcast of news segment on how to deal with Robo Calls repeats the advice to just not pick up numbers you don't know. And if you don't have caller ID, it is recommended you get it. That is the only way to screen these calls.

I'll report this to the Pennsylvania Do not call list.    I'll get a form letter thanking me for my help and telling me that the Do not call list can not stop these calls..........

I have gotten calls every night this week, Customer Service, always a different number. Tonight the number was 717-547-5751. I can't tell you what the other numbers were. They say we might qualify for a discount on our electric bill I have told all of them I was not interested, so tonight I pressed "5", and when the guy came on and started asking about my electric bill, I just told him, like I told the other 4, I wasn't interested and I wanted these calls to stop! He told me to have a nice day and I said I would IF the calls stopped. He hung up!

I get these calls daily.  Three or four a day.  I am on the Do Not Call List.  Why cant they finds this person or persons and arrest them.  What do they gain by calling everyone and when you answer the phone there is nothing there?  I dont answer any more and I turned off my answer machine.  But they keep calling.  

I believe we've had 2 calls from this same number, including one today.  My wife accidentally answered the previous call because the Caller ID showed Customer Service.  It was from an electric utility (PP&L) offering to supply our power.  From snail mails we've received, their price for power is higher than we currently pay.  We won't be answering any of their unsolicited calls in the future, especially since we're on the Do Not Call registry.  A lot of good that registry does!!

 The caller tells me they want to help with my electric company of PPl. I am not a user of PPL and I'm sick of thes calls ever couple of days.
