The recording was garbled, i could not understand the caller but it sounded like a recording. I called the number back and it never rang through?

although I didn't dial the number back.  With his guidance, I won't.

I also got the garbled message.  Unfortunately, I DID call back a few times, didn't ring through first two, then finally rang and rang.

Same Deal with the people below me.  I wasn't home.  Got the number.  Called a few times, and it didn't even ring.  I have Vonage, and I don't get UnWanted telemarketers.  Which is something nice for an internet phone.  The name on the caller id says: HRBG_UNKNOWN.

I hope someone can figure this out.  I first thought it was my Vonage line, since it is an internet phone, and when the net is down the phone is down.  So I called myself on the Cell Phone, and that rang, so I knew it had to be something wrong with the number.

Got a call from 717-705-4488. The caller actually spoke to my wife to confirm that this was the samll business that we own. When she replied "yes" he wanted to speak to me. Thinking him to be potential customer, my wife gave him my cell phone. Further attempts to call this number back failed. THe phone never rang

Call from PA Dept of Revenue asking to call back about an LLC I have in my name.  They too asked me to call back to a different number 717-783-8434.  I called that number, it was after 5pm and it had an automated recording telling me to call back during normal business hours.

I am the Telecommunciations Manager here at the PA Department of Revenue.  The caller ID 717-705-4488 is a PBX line associated with our predicitive dialer.  This dialer makes outgoing calls only.  When calling into the system with the above mentioned number, you will get dead air. I am working on getting the number changed to Unknown at this time.  
The full message reads: "Hello, this is the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.  It is important that you return our call.  Our telephone number is area code 717-783-8434.  That number again is area code 717-783-8434.  Our office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern standard time Monday through Friday.  Thank you."  Please use phone number 717-783-8434 when you return our call.  It will save you time on the phone.

hangs up. no message. calls once a week.

This call is from the IRS. I received the phone call because I used to have a sales tax license and they never received my cancelation so they think I am deliquent on taxes. The number that I received to call back was 717-783-8434 and then a menu comes up. Hope this helps someone.
