Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Poor English, hard to understand, threatening about legal acting from US Treasury.

Same as above. Three messages today (4/10/15) 1120AM, 1250PM, 158PM. Reported to US Treasury.

Received a call from this number today 717-759-0833. I called it back and the women hung up on me when I asked if this was a scam. I then called it again and a male answered and he explained to me that I shouldn't be talking to him the way I was that I could be thrown in jail. I laughed and said do you think I am stupid I know this is a scam. Do not call me again! ..Geez, I sure hope no one falls for this!!!  Oh and they even stated a badge # Claims to be from  the US Treasury...UNREAL!

Yes a scam caller, pre recorded message. The prankster may be reaping off or scaring people. This is been going on for a while now with different phone numbers. This one is in Pennsylvania.

Got the call from Foreign accent guy who threatened Court action. Will report to authorities.

Got two calls today that were pre-recorded by a guy with a foreign accent who threatened court action.  Will report.

Severe consequences if you don't return the call   Appear before federal magistrate. Heavy accent. Received 3 calls in one day

Tried to say I was going to jail for owing 4,000 on 2013 taxes, and that my daughter would go to foster care. Also said the call was traced, and local police were going to arrest me as soon as I hung up.

Wow!  I got a similar call stating that it was the US Treasury and that I owed money.  When I gave a fake name because it seemed suspicious, he began to scream obscenities into the phone at me and make vulgar comments.  My friend received a similar phone call from the same man from the number 509-428-2489.  I immediately made a FB post to everyone I know warning them about these phone calls.

After receiving THREE calls from this number But not talking to them, I called the number back and the guy with a very steong Indian accent said he was from the US treasury and something about taxes. He asked for my name but I did not give him any information so he hung up on me. So I set up the no solicitation feature on my phone but they managed to make it through anyway.
The next think could be a whistle by the phone?

said he was from the department of the treasury...calling about 2012 tax return....sai there is a bench warrant for my arrest

Same as above. Also said federal Agents would be dispatched as soon as call ended to arrest me on this bench warrant issued due to tax evasion. Kept saying I was sent letter re my taxes owed & since I have ignored them it can no longer be settled w/o arrest, jail time my bank accounts frozen, etc. he never asked for $ or my credit card or personal info. In fact he already had that. I kept telling him that this was a joke and he stayed in character stating that the U.S. treasury dept doesn't have time for jokes and did I think tax evasion was a joke.

recorded message in my voice mail which sounded as if the first part of the recording had been skipped--thus no ompany name was given, It was definitely not in a foreign accent,  It alluded to contacting me for our "mutual" advantage.

A short while ago I received a call from 717-759-0833 at 10:45 A:M. Todays date is April 15, 2015. A man called me with a foreign accent and said he was from the US Treasury and that I owed back taxes and if they were not paid immediately a court action would ensue. I always pay my taxes and on time. I just hang up on these people. I called the number back and no one answered the phone. This is not the first time this has happened. These people are nothing more than scammers who refuse to get a real job. I hope if they ever get caught they spend the rest of their miserable lives in prison. There are many older people who would fall for this crap. The call was from Pennsylvania.

I keep getting a call from this number.  I called back a woman answered whom you could hardly understand her english was so poor, and she hung up as soon as I stated I would be reporting her number to the authorities.  I called again, got the voice of the guy on the recording, I told him I wanted to know by what authority he was threatening me, he hung up.  Now when I call, the number is busy.  They then called me again with the same pre-recorded message!

I got a call saying I owed $ 4588.00 in unpaid 2013 taxes. I had only one chance to pay it because there was an arrest warrant issued by the Treasury Department and the Marshal's would be at my house in 45 minutes to take me to jail.

The woman had a foreign accent and there was a lot of noise in the background. It sounded as if there were several telephone operators talking with others about the same thing.
