I got a text from this number wanting to buy an item I had listed on craigslist. They were very anxious for me to divulge my paypal account information. They had no questions about the condition of the item. I was immediately suspicious.

I too received a text fro an Anita who said she was from an Army base  from Colorado interested in buying a pa system  I had on Craig's list.  I did not  even have a picture of it and she/he texted  to immediately buy it. All I needed to do was send my PayPal info and she would send the money asap.  I told the texter that I only do face to face transactions and that the only thing I accept is cash.  Never heard another word!  After doing a phone search the phone # resided in Hersey Penn.  Figures

I got a text from this number (James Rogers)  They were trying to get us to bid on a job. (We do construction) I knew it was a scam because the english was so poor.
"Hello , Here is James Rogers, I will like to know (then it skips two lines) if you do pavement installation service?"
They are not just scamming Craig's List, but contractors too.

This number texted as a mom named Kate Peterson and wanted to inquire if I would photograph her son's wedding in California and whether or not I accepted credit cards for payment. Horrible grammar. This is a common scam request.

This number texted me today saying they were hearing impaired and that they had a house for me to paint and they needed my email.

I too just received a text from this number asking about my photography services. The fashion in which they asked me lead me to find out that they were a scam artist because I get at least one of these per month. I kind of messed around a little bit with them and just a silly way talking about how I collect lots and lots of credit cards as form of payment,  they did not like my joke and said "I will assassinate you watch your back". Not cool...not cool at all
