Got a call yesterday from this # did not know who it was so i did not answer they left no message i am now blocking it from my phone

I received a call from this number and when you call it back it ask you to add this number 7178500648 to a NOT CALL LIST. No other option is possible. Weird and suspicious.

Our local news had a report on numbers that do this, say press this to be placed on a Do not call list. They said what happens if you push the number, they steal your identity from your cell phone, all your contacts, any pics or places you go to via apps, all of it. Do your self a favor an do not accept this call. If your a Verizon cell customer as the report mentioned, text the number to 7726. They say you will get a return text to thank you for reporting them. They will take it from there. I would ask whatever cell carrier you have if they too have a number as the news said Verizon does to report such texts or these kinds of scam artists calling.

Close,  but not as bad as you described.  They don't actually steal your information by you simply pressing 1. That is impossible. What they do is forward you to a live person, and that person will ask for your personal information, so they can take you off of their call list.boy they are actually doing is just harvesting your information. But simply pressing the button alone does not put you at risk.

Have received a few calls from this number in the last two days.  There are never any messages and only comes up on Caller Id as "York, PA".  Reporting them helps but the best thing to do is IGNORE these calls!  Do not pick up, do not call them back or respond in any way because that's exactly what they want you to do.  As Kevin C. posted earlier, they are looking to harvest information from you.

Have been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number often.  I do not answer if I do not recognize the number.  Thanks to all the others who have posted information.  I text this number to Verizon 7726,

I have been getting this number calling twice a day to my cell.   I reject it and have blocked it but it still gets thru.  I reported to Verizon for spam again.

Calls keep coming in from this number, caller ID "York, PA."  Sometimes I screen it out, sometimes I answer and when there's no person I hang up fairly quickly, and just now I answered and stayed on the line for a while and still there was no person.  This is ridiculous...
