That same number called me like 10 minutes before you.

I received a call from (717) 850-9726 today at 12:10 in the afternoon. The number left a missed call log but no voice mail.

Got a call from 717-850-0726 at 12:08. Caller ID said York, PA. I Didn't answer. They didn't leave a message.

It's an alternate energy company, pretending to be PECO. And we're on the do not call list

Received calls 1 minute apart 1:15 and 1:16 p.m.  No message.  We do not answer if we do not recognize the number.  Not answering does not stop calls.  This number will not get through again -- we have now blocked it.  We bought a ProCall blocker and now, after a bit of a learning experience setting it up, our extension phone rings once and then hangs up on any blocked calls.  What a relief to not be disturbed any longer by unwanted calls.  Digitone is another brand name.  It is unfortunate that we felt the need to buy a device to stop calls.  (There are very likely cheaper alternatives for blocking.)

This number called us today, and I think they sent mail as well. Added to the digitone, they won't get through again.

While there may be less expensive methods the digitone is second to none. I tried most solutions and nothing beats it.

Unwanted calls rarely if ever ring your phone. the peace and quiet is amazing. Of course this is only for land lines.

Received a call from this number.  Did not answer.  No message. We use OOMA as our home phone provider.  This allows me to forward all home phone calls to my cell phone if I am out or away.  I can also block unwanted calls so the caller will receive a message that the number has been disconnected.  When I receive one of these calls on my cell I don't answer and then I assign it to a special contact list with a special ring, so i know not to answer if they call again. I am trying to download a silent ringtone to my iphone so I will not even hear the calls in my scammer contact list. In the last year I have received calls from at least 72 different numbers.  I keep filling up contact lists.  I really don't think there is any way to stop these people.  They just call from new numbers.  Don't ever answer a call from a number you don't recognize.
