Got a text from this number after messaging a girl on OKCupid for a bit and giving my number. "She" answered questions I asked and asked me questions as well. Definitely not a bot. This should have been a red flag but didn't think anything of it she started asking me a lot about my job and claiming that it seemed very important.

Still just having casual conversation. BTW her profile said she was 20 years old and she claimed to be taking nursing classes. Night goes on and its getting late. She then ask for a picture of me. I send a selfie and she says cute and sends one of herself. text a little more she ask for another pic and she sends another one. shes asking for something sexy over and over. She starts sending explicit pics so. I join in. She then asks if she can come see me. I say not that night since it is already 3 am and the town she claimed to be in is almost 2 hours away. This goes on for a bit then she says she is going to get her moms laptop to make a video. I find that a little weird that she is going to get her moms laptop to do this... so I don't send anymore pictures. I don't hear anything else and go to sleep.

Wake up to a text saying that she had a fight with her parents and feels like crying. I asked what happened and no response. Then I get a call from another number claiming to be and agent. I've marked that number as well you can see it here:

So I've been texting the "father" Mr. Smith. He says that his daughter smashed the mothers work computer when they found her, and that her boss demands that they pay for it or they will fire the mother. By this point I've started to calm down and do some research. After I find the images are of a amateur cam model I feel very relieved, but also very angry.

But I play along through the text now trying to get more information. Pretty much all the dad ever says is that if he doesn't fix it by paying for the laptop or filing a indecent report his wife will leave him. That he is scared I'm going to hurt his family. That he just doesn't know what to do. That I have his personal information. That he doesn't get how I did not know she was underage. That he doesn't want to ruin my life. I just keep going along with it until he ask if I can pay for half of the laptop and he will pay the other half.

I say that I will pay half to her boss so I won't have to get any of their information to further protect their privacy. I get my message copy and pasted back to me lol.. Then says that won't work because the boss doesn't want to be involved or wants to work with the detective directly.

He ask how much I can pay and I say I only have $5. He says thats alright, and if I can do weekly payments. I say yes and this guy sends me account information.... I won't be sending any money in case you were wondering.

I just had the same exact thing happen to me over the past two days, lol. The funniest thing about it is that he used nothing personal but...  in the paragraph, that and they always ended the texts with good luck.

Here is what i recieved today via text

I'm advising the family that I'm beginning an investigation. If they don't cooperate, I will order a search warrant and subpoena for the family to release the device and submit a statement about the underage pornographic material that was shared.  Nothing personal but if I don't receive contact from you within 24 hours, I'll be forced to follow protocol and you will need to acquire legal representation. Thank you and good luck.

And from the original number from the "girl"

Sir the detective has advise me to turn over a writtin statement an File a Police report, Sir i do Not wish to Ruin your Life but you leave me no choice.

Hope this helps anyone else out too.

The same exact thing happened to me! Except the "girl's" number was a different number. When speaking to "Agent Lacey" i was given a fake name and told to google it to verify that he is a real agent. The search obviously didn't return anything. Scam. Next text/call I receive from them, the entire log will be forwarded to the FBI.
