got a call from Derek foster says hes a officer from phone#718-247-3047 wanted a call back kind of threating or else

these guy said they are calling me from IRS and said that owe 2500 for the not paying my taxes in full. They said they have been audited in washington dc this thursday and said that sheriff will come at my door in 45 mins and i will be jailed for 90 days. And they even said if i pay through the phone this will not go to legal issue. And when i asked them to verify my personal identification they hung up. I called them back they hung up on me again.

i guess they said DEREK was the Sheriff ... LOL SMARTASS

Got a message saying a no bail warrant was issued for me but did not say who they were or my name or info.

I also got a call from this number, 718-247-3047. They claim to be calling from the IRS and that we will be audited, bla, bla, bla.. I hung up!

I have received multiple calls from this number over the last few days. They are claiming I committed tax fraud and need to call back to make a payment over the phone. IT IS A SCAM! they never said my name or any information about me. It is someone with an Indian accent claiming to be a IRS authority threatening me with a warrant and jail time.

I received a message Friday, Feb 20 from 718-247-3047. The police would be send to my home or work. And call this number back immediately.

I just got a call from 7182473047 saying I have a warrent for my arrest

They said that I owe IRS from 2002 to 2009  and they said I better get lawyer etc  I know they are scamming

Today i received call from 718-247-3047 claiming to be officer Nathan Jones. I was told they would be issuing  a warrant for my arrest to my home or job if i did not get a pre paid green dot card for 300.00 dollars and i must stay on phone the hole time.

I just got the same type of call a few minutes ago saying an officer is on the way to my address right now.

Got a call at 1:14 a.m.  Said there was a warrant issued for my arrest and local authorities would be here soon, either at my home or work.   LOL  BRING IT ON!!!

Got the same call stating that I owed the its and a warrant was being issued fr my arrest, but it was an automated message saying that I had to talk with my lawyer and call them back, I called back and got a busy signal.

Called, said they were from IRS - just hung up on them.

If someone calls saying he's an IRS agent and demands that you send money immediately, hang up.
It's a phone scam.In fact, it tops the IRS "Dirty Dozen" list of tax scams this year, and it's been surging in recent months, the agency said Thursday.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA), which oversees the IRS, has received reports of 290,000 scam calls since October 2013 and said nearly 3,000 victims have been swindled out of $14 million so far.

By altering their caller ID number to make it look like they're calling from an IRS office, these scammers often threaten vulnerable people like the elderly and new immigrants with things like arrest, deportation or the loss of their driver's license if they don't pay immediately for money purportedly owed.

Often leaving messages that say it's "urgent" you call them back, the scammers use common names and sometimes say they are from the IRS Criminal Division. They may even claim to know the last four digits of your Social Security number and send follow-up emails that appear to be from the IRS, TIGTA said.

They often demand that payments be made by prepaid debit card.

Once they make their threats, the scammers have been known to call back and again disguise their caller ID so it appears they are calling from the police department or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

Or sometimes when they call, they may say you have a refund due and ask you to provide personal information so you can claim it.

The real IRS will usually contact you by regular mail first, if it needs to contact you at all. And the agency never demands immediate payment by phone or asks for credit card or debit numbers if they do call. It also never asks for personal or financial information by email, text or social media.

If you get what you suspect is a scam call, report it to TIGTA through its Web site or call 800-366-4484.

718-247-3047 - SCAM - Claiming to be IRS 2/25/15 @2:18pm CA time. Left voicemail threatening warrent/jail time if I didn't call back and take care of unpaid taxes.

i got called from This number telling me I owe taxes..   From the IRS?. And to have my attourney call asap.

i got the same call two Times in a row...sounded like a recording to me. Very harsh and demanding. But so phony.
