They've called numerous people and they all report the same thing:
Caller offers to "REDUCE YOUR CC INTEREST" but have NO CLUE what card(s) you may or may not have or what bank they are "FROM" and in some instances they just start rattling off random bank names - CHASE, CAPITOL ONE, etc.... Hoping you have one from these banks as they are the most popular ccard companies out there.

One caller said they had the first 5 numbers of her card - that's easy - ALL BANKS HAVE A UNIQUE 5 DIGIT CODE ""bank identifier"  this number "id's" the issuing bank and EVERY BANK uses their code for EVERY CARD THEY ISSUE!!!

HANG UP and report the number to your STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!  Don't give this scum the time of day.

Received recorded call on my cell phone on 9/30/13 @ 138pm pst from 718-349-2867 regarding lowering CC interest rate. Immediately hung up on them

Just got this call and like some of the others "Caller ID is DEP, PUBLIC WKSi" ts a women on the line saying this is the last attempt for us to reduce our Credit, like what account or what are they talking about? It's a SCAM for sure...I tried calling back and line is busy of course.

No msg here either but I used the block number feature on my phone to block further calls and will keep doing that for however many different numbers they  may use..  What a bunch of doo-doo.  I don't have any cc debt to lower interest on and even if I did, I'd initiate a call to a reliable company myself to help out if need be.

At it again -- robo-call from "your credit card company" offering to "lower your interest rates".

Got a call from this number about lowering my interest rate. First spoke to a lady. They had information about my bank balance and bank interest rate. They asked asked for last 12 digits of my credit card number. I told them I must call my bank before giving them such details. Called my bank. She transferred me to a "supervisor", a guy with a strong indian accent. I told him for a call back number and that I must first call my bank before giving them details.  He was very rude and insulting, said if I did not give them information, my interest would not be lowered etc. I though to myself, that is un-usual. So I took out my other phone and started recording the conversation.  Told him I was recording it. He told me to "get the hell off" and I knew it was fraudulent. I called my bank.  Bank said they have not authorized anyone to lower rates and if they were interested in doing so, they would have called me directly.  They seem to have an all out call center-type elaborate operation. Got called back twice on 718-349-2867 and on 458 201 0453.  Watch out for these scammers. DO NOT give your bank information over the phone!

I get calls but they don't say anything. It just hangs up!

Called us knowing our credit cards and limits along with our interest rates. Too unprofessional to take as legit.

Called us, nobody on the line just dead air.

Just got a call from this number as well, didnt answer Looked up just the area code.  Thought it may have to do with my kid who lives in this NYC area. Got a busy signal then came on here to look full number up.. I usually know better to look it up before calling back these days but when kids live on their own you sometimes jump the gun out of worry.

Just got a call from this number too (3/20/15, 9:31am CST) on my cel (S.E. WI). Was on another call so didn't answer. No message left. Call ID just said NY. No point in calling back based on what everyone is saying here.
