- Jan OCalled 2X today saying it was a court.
- AJCalled saying they were the IRS and we owed money following 2 registered letters we never got. Bullied my wife into thinking if she didn't agree to wire money into the "IRS" bank account at Wells Fargo or BofA they will send to the courts to prosecute. Told her not to contact any outiside party or it will mess up the process. This is a total scam. We actually visited the IRS office locally and they absolutely were certain it was a scam.
- Caller: IRS
- mark alanThis is a total SCAM , They say they are the Department of Treasury and you owe taxes because of errors and miscalculations. Then they say there is a warrant issued for your arrest. I listened to the whole thing then he transfered me to the supervisor, after his scare tactics he asked if i had any questions. I said yes, just a few: 1) CDP - collection due process: I must get a "Demand letter" before they can file a lien. He knew noting about the CDP process or laws, i then asked him where he was located, what part of the world. He hung up quickly.
BE AWARE : SCAM- Caller: US Treasury

- DB| 1 replySaid they were from the IRS, said I owed back taxes from my 2008 forms they needed $9200 or the sheriff was going to be at my house SCAMMMMMMMMM people don't fall for it
- Caller: IRS
- skrThey left 2 barely understandable messages today, claiming to be the IRS and that an arrest was pending for nonpayment of taxes owed. Said I had one day to respond before the case was turned over to local authorities. I called back, got an equally difficult to understand man who asked for my name. I refused and asked for details regarding the message. Claimed that I did in fact owe money - I disagreed and asked for clarification about whom I was speaking to. He said it was the IRS. I said that I didn't believe him and he said that I would when the authorities showed up at my house in 24 hours and then hung up. So pathetic - some poor soul will fall for this scam.
