Scam call from Staten Is. - Brooklyn NY.  Caller ID: "Alert"  no message.

Call will not cause the answering machine to pickup.

Got a call from what CID indicated as "Alert".  Picked up, they hung up with no answer.

CID 'Alert' did not pick-up and no message left on answering machine

CID said "Alert."  Recorded voice identified the company as Senior Alert Systems.  Message said, among other things, that because I had been referred to them by my personal physician or primary care provider my emergency medical alert pendant is already paid for.  It is ready to ship at no charge, right Now, to qualified recipients, but first they need to verify my address.  Also, I will receive $3,000 worth of grocery coupons, free.  More about dangers of not having their emergency alert system because bad things happen.  They reminded me yet again to verify my address, in a rather authoritative tone, "Seniors, press One now to verify ..."   Then, best of all, "Or, press Five to notify your (physician) that you have refused shipment."  (No options Two-Four)  Silence for several seconds, a very audible sigh, followed by more silence, and then call ends. Never mentioned, of course, is the 30-40 dollars per month charge if you want a pendant that does more than just hang around your neck.
