Voicemail message left on home phone.  Claimed to be "Officer Eric Foster" and advised call was time sensitive.  Threatened legal action and wished me "Good Luck" if I did not return call.  None too bright sounding with a heavy accent.

Reported phone number 718-475-9094 to 311 Houston Police Department.  Additionally, reported this threatening call and number to an officer on duty at work at this time. (12-10-2014).  This call is a SCAM!!!

Said he was Eric Foster from the IRS and threatened legal action if I didn't have my lawyer return his call.  Tried calling back the number and it's not in service.

Reported call to 311, and Officer of HPD.  Called number back and it is disconnected.  Person is ID- ing self as Derrick/
Eric Foster or Jeff Cooper.  Fake accents are used, said "Good Luck"  if I did not returned call, represented himself  from IRS, ask if I was working or retired, and repeated my new cell phone number, with a different name.  Number is now disconnected.
Mine will be also be disconnected since this is a new phone and number ASAP, going to Sprint office now!!!  So long sucker!  What is this world coming to???

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Phone message on home phone today "Officer Eric Foster" said me or my attorney better call him and "good luck" if I don't. Obvious scam which will be reported for whatever good that will do! He will have another phone by end of day and be calling another state (this call was in California). Don't bother calling local PD they not going to waste time with it.

Knew it was a scam and yelled at him before hanging up.  Claimed I owe the IRS money

Called me at 6 am so that's fun. What a joke! This "Eric foster" is trying to pull an American accent and failing hard. Since when would an 'officer' call about owing money to the IRS? They do nothing more than send automated letters. Its upsetting that there are probably people who fell for this.

I received the same identical message from Foster as you did at 8am today. Going by the name "Foster" along with his
heavy accent just does not add up.
    Thanks.

I have received this call three times now.  It seems to be a recording as I tried to interrupt the first time and there was no reaction at all to the fact I had spoken.  The second call I sent to VM and the message started in the middle of a sentence.  The third call I just let ring.  No VM on that one.

I reported the first call and am going to report the other two.  Am also going to be blocking this number.

Same phony call others reported. The voicemail started as introducing himself as an officer (he had a funny accent too), though he didn't say what his affiliation was.  Said I or my attorney needed to contact him about an extremely "time sensitive" legal matter.  And said "Good luck" to me if I did not call back.  When I tried to call the number, I got a busy signal.   Sounds pretty scammy to me!
