Received a text message that said it was Harrison Law Firm & a case against my name & SSN was being downloaded in local court. Said to call a different # but same area code for more info. I texted back telling them it was a scam recently exposed by local news. That was 7/30/15 & I have not received any more from them.

Received a threatening call. Told me a warrant was being issued.

Garden variety Indian or Pakistani debt scammers.   Ignore the calls and block them, they spoof American Law firms.

Axiom:

If anyone with an Indian accent cold-calls you and ( 1)  threatens you or ( 2)  offers you something,
you know it's a scam,   So--  hang up immediately and block the number.

Nothing against Indians or [***]; that's just the way the world is right now.

Corollary

Never wire  anyone money if you do not know them personally.

If you have been called by these scammers, file a complaint with the FBI on their Internet Crime webpage     http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

If the callers are 'garden variety' Indian or Pakistani debt scammers, their 'gardens' must include curry as their main crop.
