My answering machine caught chatter in the background of this message , like a lot of people were saying the same thing! and the statement was i am mr James White , of the Legal Department of Affairs , and we are bringing action against you! and for you to call us back asap.......Yeah right!.... Scammers Alert!  Scammers Alert! Sounded like Jamaican trying to Sound like a professional Brother!!! Lol.......Lol.........Lol.....Please Beware!......Crooks out there!........

This phone number has been calling my phone posing as the US Dept Of Treasury trying to get money. They are foreign speaking sounds middle eastern  Scammers!

Someone call me telling me to. Call a person by name john spencer, from us. Dept treasury #718 878 4104. Please do something about those scammers.

Yes they called me too, they told me that my taxes were filed wrong, and that I owed money to the IRS, in the amount of $4800, they said that if I didn't pay up i would be going to jail for fraud. They have your background info too. They knew a lot about me. But when he said if I pay $2500 today he'd set up a payment plan.

I also got a call from this number, I let it go to voice mail. Some guy left a message about a law suit against me. Don't answer if this number comes up on your phone.

Received a call from 7188784104 03/24/2016, 7:47 AM.  Apparently caller is unaware that I Am part of law enforcement.

Said they were from legal affairs and a suit was brought against me. Even said my lawyer could call them.

They called me a little while ago and I let it go to voicemail, for the life of me I could not figure out what he was saying. Sounded like 'legal affairs" and "suit brought against you". After reading the above comments, my call was a lot of those stories stitched together. They told me my lawyer could contact them. The man sounded middle eastern

IRS Scam:

The IRS does not need to sue anyone.  They send you first class letters delivered by the Post Office.  Several of them.  Ignore those, and they then send certified letters that you need to sign for.  Again delivered by the Post Office.  Ignore those and they simply freeze your bank accounts and anything else you own.  If they can do that, then why would they bother with a court case that might take them years before they get in front of a judge?  They also do not bother arresting people for a few thousand dollars for the same reasons I have already given.

I got the exact same call. Middle eastern man from dept of legal affairs saying I have suit brought against me and have my retained lawyer contact them if I can't. Scam

Received this message today and my phone said the number was from Minnesota. Middle eastern voice saying he was from dept. of legal affairs and that I needed to call him back right away as legal action had been taken against me.

This just happened to me! Said I'd go to jail for 6 months if I didn't pay the IRS. Scammers! Beware they did know a lot about me! Wanted me to pay 3800. Said that John Spencer had tried to visit me at my house and knew my address. Yikes!

I got this call yesterday, but because I was with out of town guests, I let it go to voice mail.  It was a middle Eastern sounding man stating he was from legal affairs stating that a someone was taking legal action against me and that I could call, or have my lawyer call back.  I know for a fact that if anyone takes legal action against anyone, it has to be by mail, not by a phone call.  Especially because my name is nowhere on my voice mail, so how would they even know they have the correct person?  Definitely a scam!

I just received the same call and hung up. I wanted to see who this call was from, so I called the number back and there was no answer, so I hung up.  A few seconds later, someone called me back and said he had just received a call from my number. He had an accent. I told him that his phone number was all over the internet and was a scam trying to embezzle money out of people. He hung up on me. I don't know why these people can't be busted, since their number is right here.

Some "F" from either India or Pakistan claiming to me with the IRS Department of Legal Affairs trying to scam hard earned money from the American people. What I can't understand is why our law enforcement does not disconnect the scammers like as soon as it is reported and verified by a simple phone call that it's scammers.

i just got a call from Jack Wilson, saying the was a warrant for my arrest. I told him come on and get me. When I did that he hung up

Monday, April 4, 2016 @ 2:30 pm - an Erik Foster called and left a message to "remind me of a Law enforcement action that has been started against me."  He said if I didn't call back, I should get an attorney to call. If I don't call back it will be a "legal mess for me." Also stated he needs my ""current information."

same as everyone else, let it go to voice mail because I always get a lot of these scam calls after I post a new resume, so that's where they get my name & # from. because of these scammers I stopped putting my home address on my resume. message was in poor english claiming to be from legal affairs, obviously they only hire people that can't speak English.
