What the ???? replies to m.
I posted my resume on CareerBuilders.com and apparently these recruiters get your information from job search engines like the one i mentioned before and Monster.com. They call you several times a day by different people trying to get you to go to an interview. Meanwhile, they do not inform you of what the company does and get pretty nasty is you ask.

    union carpenter
Called and said they were calling from the district council of carpenters and that my wife signed a form regarding life insurance and that they needed my signature. I agreed seeing that my wife works for the benefit funds and that this may be true, when I got off the phone and asked my wife about this, she told me there was no such thing of people from the d.c. going to your house regarding life insurance. I left a message for them to please call back, still havent heard anything! Beware of these people that are claiming to represent your union! It is not true, my wife checked! Google them & read the reviews!

    VERY ANNOYED
they called me telling me they got my info from career builder, meanwhile I havent sent my resume to anyone and I have it private. They wanted me to come for an interview, when I asked for what kind of position, she was very vague and said oh you would meet with Francisco Perez??? Who the hell is that? Am I supposed to know who he is? I had a funny feeling and I hung up the phone. These people are scammers!!! Why do you want me to come in? So I can fill out an application for a job and give you my social security number and personal info. SCAMMERS!!!!

    Unemployed
They called three times over a few weeks, finally left a message on the third try saying they "received" my resume and that the caller's "Director" would like me to come in for a one-on-one interview. No info on what the position is, what their company does, or anything like that. Only at the end of the call did the caller even say where they were from, "Again, this is <name> from National Income Life and I look forward to hearing from you." After reading these reports it definitely sounds like a scam!

I understand everyones concerns but we are not scammers. Just look us up with Better Business Bureau. It's a shame when people give others the wrong info about info they know nothing about. But that is the world we live in.

If anyone would like they could come in to meet with me and I will explain how we have been around since 1954 and in every state, including canada, new zealand and puerto rico. We have been recognized by Yahoo/hotjobs as the #1 insurance company to work for in the US and ranked #33 out of top 100 companies overall. This press release came out in February. Just look it up.

Go to our parent company website for annual reports and quarterly reports. www.torchmarkcorp.com. So you can see the growth of the company. Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience anyone has received but we only call people where we received a resume usually from Monster.com or unless they are with a union we are working together with providing supplemental benefits where they "Mailed in a postcard".

Lets leave the term "Scammers" for the true people.
    Thanks,
    Mr. Perez

I received a calll from these people today, they said "we reviewed your resume and would like to offer you a full time job". My first thought was, I would never apply for a job that I wasn't qualified for and I have NEVER worked in insurance.

This number offered me a job.
My first thought was, I would never apply for a job at an insurance agency because I am totally unqualified for it.

Called from National Income and said they had received my resume then asked if I had any prior experience as a supervisor. The caller also said that I would need a car for the training in Queens which made me ineligible.

    a little concerned
I had the same experience as many. They called and said I was the "top contender at their company." However, they never told me what company I was a contender for or what the position was. They said I would basically have a job with them, but they needed to meet with me in person to make sure. Thinking I had just not heard them correctly, I set up an interview time and went online to do some research. I have called the number back quite a few times (trying to be nice and cancel the interview at least) and never got a human to answer. I just get the answering machine. Obviously they are not a credible company. Just hang up if they call.

You are a liar replies to Mr. Perez
I don't know if you actually represent this company, but I got this call. Yes, my resume is on Monster, but I never applied to you, and your caller was still very shady. You should tell them to at least identify themselves and tell people what position they are qualified for.

I got the same call about 9:15 one night. First thing came to my mind was, why would a 'legit' company/firm call you that time of night to interview you? Right away I knew they were some fake a$$ people so I hang up my phone. They have nothing to do.
