Called my cell phone which is illegal in my state for a company to place solicitation to a cell phone without written permission from the cell phone holder & no business has that from me on my cell phone number because I will not give my cell phone number out to businesses.  Reporting illegal phone call.

I keep getting a call from an unrecognized number on my cell phone.  So today I answered.  Guy stated he was calling because he was given my number to provide a reference for employment.  Stated they were calling for a client and they could not release the name.  Stated they were an acquisitions firm.  When I stated I wasn't interested in providing any information-- that I am not an employer, he was snarky and said, that is fine we will call back again tomorrow.

Received a voicemail from this number wanting to verify employment from someone who no longer exists (a previous name change). Asked for the HR department, company or person can call this number back and verify employment or that this may be a wrong number.

Received three calls/two voicemails from this number 1st time was a friend's name they paused and mispronounced, the second time was my wife's maiden name. "My name is Chris and I am calling to verify employment on a (friend’s name-1st time/wife’s maiden name-2nd time) if this is someone from human resources, or a home based business, or a wrong number (emphasized) would you please call me back at 719-215-8700, thank you." These were made to a cell phone number, reporting them to the FCC and my cellular provider.

Sounds like a skip tracer.

Received a call from this number wanting to verify my employment, then stated I had a garnishment of my bank account that was being sent to court and stated sheriff office would be serving me. Wanted my social security info.

The exact same thing happened to me. He said I had cosmetic surgery done on my teeth (which that's never happened) and even told me my social security and old address! He was trying to get money pretty much

This number called multiple numbers in my family. Claimed they are seeking out a warrant from a past due balance from Kay Jewelers and that the county sheriff will handle the matters. They read off all our current info.  including our social sec. Numbers and address. The woman I spoke to claimed her name as "Terry Walters". Asking for their name and numbers was pulling teeth. This is 100% a scam! We don't owe any money. Please add additional security to your accounts!

Same exact thing that happened to Lazy Criminals!  Then they called my mother when I didn't answer my cell phone and I do not even know how they got her number.  Also the number comes up as 805-637-7243 on my cell but the number he leaves on the voicemail is 719-215-8700.  Added to spam numbers and advised my mom not to answer that phone call anymore.  This is obviously the latest scam.

Called wanted information on my son. wife told me not to give out info so hung up

Myself and my mother in law got a phone call looking for my sister in law they called my cell which is my company phone so don't know how they got it my mother in law has nothing to do with my sister in law don't even know her again don't know how they got the numbers. Claimed they wanted to verify employment for her wanting to know if I was the HR department or a self employed business they left a voicemail I did not return the call. I smell a Rat...
