Received A Late Afternoon Call From This Number To My Home Phone, Put Beep On Asnswering Machine, Made The Answering Machine Save The Beep As A Phone Response.  Beep was ohly sound emitted.  Caller hung up immediately after the beep.

Have received several calls from this number at various times of the day, but no one ever answers on the other end.

Received a call at 8:30 this morning... No message was left...

Standard Freeholder, Cornwall, Ontario, Canada. Trying to sell their newspaper, they hung up on me when I asked to be taken off their list.

Said they were mailing out free prescription card.  Hung up on them.  Any call coming in that is listed Private Caller is a scam.

received call from this number but missed the call. I called back but the call didn't go through.

Caller left a pre-recorded message, saying they were calling about a "situation" that warrants my immediate attention. Identified as being from the office of NCW, which is an abbreviated name for national credit works. According to what I pieced together, they are a child company of NR group, a bottom feeding collection agency, also affiliated with, or sometimes calling themselves "the law office of scott b. Wheat", well known for empty threats of lawsuits regarding old consumer debts. The few times I made an effort to settle my debt, I found them to be abrasive, ignorant, and plain nasty. They refused my demands for  written proofs of licensing, and proof that they were the legitimate holder of the debt. I advise all to deal cautiously with this organization, as they seem shady to me.
