Pete Welsh called, said my boss was trying to get a hold of him and left his number: 719-542-9234

Some guy named Pete Welsh called to say he had some questions about my company. Sounds like a total scammer and kept repeating his number 719.542.9234. When I look at this number it says it is owned by some lady. Pueblo, CO.

Received a call from Pete Wells?  Welsh? who repeated his phone number twice but didn't say why he was calling or what organization which instantly sends a red flag when the area code isn't local and not upfront about the purpose of his call.

Recieved two messages from Peter Welsh  ... Repeats this phone number twice but doesn't say why he is calling or what company he is with. Looks llike a scam to me.

Yup...same thing here.  But he called me at work and KNEW my name????
His message said it was "Pete Wells" and he had a few questions to ask me about my company...then left his digits....
Thank the lord for sites like this where we can report scammers.

Thanks for the heads up to all of you. I work for a small business thats always get fake calls like this and credible reports of scammers and such is very helpful.

Guys name is Pete Welsh (sp?). He's a scammer for sure. Just called again today after I told him over a year ago to get lost. He was an absolute jerk. Do not take his call or return his call.

He just left a message for me too.  Sounds like the same message he's been using for years!  No thank you.

Pete Welsh left me a message today wanting to know some things about my business.  He called back before I could return his call asking if I was interested in advertising on ESPN Sports Radio in Pittsburgh to his 1.2 million listeners (sounds a little inflated).  When I said 'I was not interested' his professionalism disappeared immediately and he hung up on me.

Got a similar call today from same name and number.  Have had previous calls from others with this same scam.  BTW...ESPN Sports Radio in Pittsburgh doesn't have 1.2 million listeners.  That size audience only belongs to the local television stations according the Nielsen ratings.  Also, you cannot call back to this number either.

Just got a message from Pete and am grateful that this site has saved me the time and trouble to follow up ...

Received a call from Pete Welsh, no company, repeated his number a couple of times and said he had a few questions about my business....I'm glad I googled the number and found this info.

Got a call from Pete Welsh (no company) asking about architectural services. When my architectural lead returned the call, he said to have me call him back and he wouldn't speak to my architect. Total scam. Don't answer or return his calls.

Called at least three times. First time left no message. Then twice left VMs for me by name and mentioned the name of my company. His number is now blocked and no, I didn't call back.  Don't have time for BS.

This isn't a scam as far as I can tell. Pete is apparently an ad salesman working for several different radio stations. I spoke with him. He was trying to sell me a Thanksgiving radio spot for my company reminding people to drive safe.

Pete Welsh - Absolute Jerk - Very rude when he calls for my boss.  As my boss always says, solicitors are dumb if they are rude to the gatekeeper .  Well Mr Welsh, YOU WILL NEVER MAKE IT THROUGH THE GATE...total scammer.
