called. left no message.  caller id says, "home security"

This company calls numbers on the national do-not-call registry, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. In addition, they play a recorded message without an operator on the line when the phone is answered - also a violation of the TCPA. The recording claims that you are eligible for a free home security system, and that it is required by local law enforcement (and recommended by the FBI). Then when you do get to an operator, the operator refuses to provide a phone number or address when asked (again a violation of the TCPA - but also something that 100% of legitimate businesses will gladly do). This is clearly a scam. They are making unfounded claims about local law enforcement, and refuse to provide any information to identify their organization or allow you to contact them. Do not provide these scammers with any of your personal information.

I just received a recorded message regarding a receiving a free home security system for placing a sign in the yard.  (This call was received at my employer's office.  I work for a national publishing company.) I selected to be removed from their call list so we'll see what happens.

Received this call and it hung up before the fourth ring when my answering machine will answer, therefore it is an autodialer. An autodialer hangs up shortly after the first person answers. I never answer calls from numbers I do not know.

calls all the time, no msg. we need to get some "home" phone numbers for some of these fools. i am on the do not call list, too. like that matters.

Caller ID is "Home Security". Autodialer: answered but no one on other end. Some kind of scam. DO NOT give them any personal information whatsoever!

Same: security system because the "FBI reports that there are home breaks in every 30 seconds." Scam!

Calls come through several times a day, must be the season for crooks to make their next set of rounds.  Since “Do Not Call” isn’t working “Do Not Answer” continues to be my best option, answering machine is not engaged so no contact is made.

Caller ID said 'Home Security'.  Robocall said for putting a sign in my yard I would receive a free home security system.  Hung up on them.

Also got call from home security. My t-lock blocked it.

I Have been called by these jerks quite a few times and I even went on there no call list when you punch in the number two. That's crap too.They either represent themselves as home security or with a solar company. I Do know that when you think they hung up they are still there because one time when I answered the phone there was no reply to my hello and I happen to say out loud that I was interested in the product and as soon as I said that there was a hello how are you and we with a solar company and then I let loose with some very choice words. That felt good, even though they are use to it. All I know is these calls are getting worst. I'm getting at least 10 calls a week on my home phone and half that on my cell. I've tried the national no call registry and none of this is working. Anyone have any good ideas besides a hunting party?

CID, comes up with just phones #. Answer phone, they do not talk.This makes no sense. Say's caller security.

So how do we stop these creeps from calling?

Ditto to most of the above comments.  Myriad, repeated, unsolicited annoyance calls.
