Called and hung up after 3 rings.

doesn't speak very good English, says he is from Windows, calling about my computer, when he ask personal questions, I hang up. He sounds like a nut!

Man called (sounded to be of Indian descent).  Said he was with Windows and was calling about my computer.  I said "No, you're not, this is a scam.  Don't call here again."  He then proceeded to all me an IDIOT! and hung up.

Got the same call.  Told them I don't own a computer.  First guy told me to "kiss my ass". I said excuse me, he repeated same and then called me a [***].
Next guy called me a liar, told him he was a scammer and I hung up.
Caller id said Compass Inc.

Got the same call. FYI, If you know Telecom you can program your phone to say almost anything on an outgoing call, It's the incoming true number that allow you to recieve calls, so the Incoming call to you may not be where the caller was calling from, this makes it hard to track. So Please question calls like this and never give out person information on calls you are not expecting!!!!

A man called ( of Indian decent ) said it was a service call for my Windows. I said I don't have Windows and he then said he was calling about my Mac. I said I don't have a computer. He asked if I had brain function problem And got rude and very hostile. I accused him.of running a scam and again he became hostile and said he would charge me with a $10000 fine. I hung up

Got a call, he said my full name (unusual ) and my native city in India. says a name and says he is my friend. tells one more common friend name. As I could not recognize by voice asked where we met and just says same again. He never gave any info to recollect and he ended calls says he is angry that I could not recollect him. Got a call again and this time says a different name and same story, I went along and said yes we played some game some where and he too joined said yes we played. I said shut up and ended call.

Thank you for posting your stories. I just got a call from this number and had similar experiences. I wonder how they got my number.

Man with Indian accent said "I am from Windows calling about your computer." I said "You have the wrong number because I don't have a personal computer." (not a lie, just no need - work laptop and personal iPad) So he said "OK" and hung up.

I sent the call to VM, but I just tried calling back and it said this number is "unallocated"

I get calls all the time from different numbers stating they are Windows calling and that my computer is sending out viruses and someone is trying to hack into my computer.  It is a different number each time and a different name on the caller ID.  Today the name of the company did not match up with this number when I looked it up online.  Caller ID says Compass INC. but he said he was  from Windows.  He said his name was Kevin. He had an accent form India area.

I just got a call from 720-324-5670. The man's accent was Filipino, it's definitely a scam - can't the Attorney General go after this person?

Got a call on my home phone from this number today.  It seems that I had a similar experience as everyone else. He told me he was from windows and his name was James.  He then told me he went to school with me.  When I asked him to tell me my name if he knew me, he said it doesn't matter.  He also asked me to marry him, which I assume is a way of him sucking up, though that is really creepy.  Whoever this man is, he had what sounded like an Indian accent. I did hang up without giving him any information about myself, which I'm very glad I did. I reported it to the FTC, and I suggest anyone else who gets a call from this number does the same.  You can of course look their number up online.

Same here, big time scammer. Reported to multiple authorities.

Received call claiming it concerned my Windows software.  Said I had an emergency issue with my
Windows system.  Asked if I was in front of computer.  I hung up.

Indian man with heavy accent, said he was calling from Windows, my computer was being sent malware and at that point I said B***S*** and hung up!

It is the "Windows" scam. Many numbers, always from an Indian man.
Now I just disconnect all unknown incoming calls or answer in a foreign language.
