- Jen| 3 repliesThey didn't leave a message but I did receive a letter from First National Collection Bureau last week. I've responded with a statute of limitations letter. The debt hasn't been paid on for over 7 years...sorry guys, your window has passed.
- GeorgeI got a call from 'local office' and 720-370-2514 on the caller ID but was unable to answer before they hung up. I have received calls from them in the past and they were a debt collection agency trying to collect a debt from my 35 year old son who does not live here. They keep pestering me for his number or trying to get me to convince him to call them. I just called them on my Cell phone w/ my Caller ID blocked, but they had my number on their Caller ID anyway; figure that one out! I asked why they are still calling me since they promised last time to remove my number from their list. They had no answer for that, but said again that they will take it off the list. Fat Chance! I am going to block their number on my incoming Caller ID list.
- Caller: They just said 'Collections', ???
- Call type: Debt collector
- Credit GuruThis is an automatic dialer- it needs time after you answer to then connect to a human collector. This is 1st National Collection Bureau- a debt collection agency.
I suggest you to set your cell phone to blocked ID if you call them and also use the *67. Use your cell phone block list and list their number and also use your block list on your home phone to block the number. Remember- if they call before 8am your time or after 9pm your time- report them to the Attorney General. Read the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. If your phone has ID as to what time they called or how many times they call daily- report them to the Attorney General.- Caller: 1st National Collection Bureau

- debt replies to Jen| 1 replySo I receive something similar froma collectio agency can I do the samething without hurting my credit my debt is 8 years old?
- JoelWThey keep calling me looking for someone who used to work here. Leave me aloooooooooonE!
- Mark replies to debtIf the debt is over 7years old, they cannot collect on it and cannot report it to your credit file. Fair Debt Collection laws prohibit them from doing anything to you. Reply to them and say it's over 7 years old. This link may help. https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
- DebbieCalling asking me to confirm personal info... such as ss# mailing address and dob.

- GeneThey are calling me on a cell number that I have only had for about three years. I that time I have had no debts referred to a collection agency. When i answer the call, they ask for someone that I have never heard of. I even tried calling them back from a pay phone to tell them to leave me alone. That didn't work either. It's just a stupid machine dialer. Don't answer and it will eventually drop your number from the list.
- Caller: ? probably debt colector
- MeredithNo one on the other line. Looks like a collection agency? I don't want them calling my home!
- BBWe got to answer phone then they hung up on us. If they don't stay on the line then don't ever BOTHER US AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
- purplebetty1no message but lots of noise
- Betty V.| 1 replyI screen all of my calls, so when these people called me this morning they asked for me by my legal name, which no one calls me, ever. I asked them to leave a message, the lady on the other end gave me her name, I asked her for the phone number. Her reponse was "it's the one that showed up on the caller ID." I said "Ok, what company is this?" She said it was a personal business matter." I said "On, I understand that, but, having the business name would be helpful." She refused to to give it, just her name and that was it. I've had calls from different bill collectors, it's pretty strange that they refused to even give their busijess name.

- fair debt replies to Betty V.Under the FDCPA, "the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of identity" by a debt collector is a violation of federal law. Even when calling a third party for location information, the collector must identify her employer "if expressly requested". So either this is NOT a debt collector, or they are not following the law.
- MichelleUnsolicited caller. Telemarketer offering extended warranty offer for my 2011 Nissan Maxima. We negotiated an 8 year warranty when we purchased the car. Took her a minute to do the math.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Phyllis Rocher replies to JenPlease tell me how to do that? You can PM me - phyllis rocher
- DianeI just received a call from 720-370-7526. All that shows up in the Caller ID in addition to the number is Denver, CO. Whoever the caller was hung up when I answered, and if it's a Collection Agency they're out of luck as I don't have any debts of that nature.
- FleaCrabbHmmmm I have no reason for a debt collector to call me. I've never been more than a month late on anything.
- AnonymousVehicle warranty scammer. Claimed to be calling from "The Warranty Department" and was calling about one of my vehicles. They called my cell phone using an auto-dialer, which I believe to be a violation of federal law.
