Got a call in the evening from this number, no message left on VM. Caller ID said "LOCAL RANKING".
Now on blocked number list. This nonsense never ends. This is the fifth scam call I have received today.

First time I ever got a call from this number and area code; had a feeling it was probably telemarketers or scammers (again). Sounds like it was and I'm glad I didn't answer. Number now blocked. Thanks for confirming!

Called this number and voice recording stated to be placed on do not call press 9, no other indication of company or business name.

Another group of stupid misfits.  It's a robo-call.  These people should go find a real job.

Caller ID said Local Ranking.  I live in St. Louis so why is Colorado "locally" ranking anything here?  We didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

It's amazing how these thugs spend their time doing NOTHING!  Wouldn't it be so nice if they would volunteer to help the homeless, help pick up garbage along the roads, and give of their time to the honest people who are really trying to make something of themselves!  There are so many worth-while volunteer organizations who would be glad to give them a job; then they wouldn't have time to call people who are sick and tired of their illegal and unethical schemes.

Caller ID said Local Ranking and since area code 720 isn't my local area code, this number is now blocked.

Another one of those calls with caller ID [insert city]     [insert state]. Notice the big gap between city and state, that can't be suspicious at all.

Same nonsense to my DNC home phone. The DNC Registry is at best a joke, at worst a numbers list for scammers to abuse

Pure fantasy. The DNC list operates exactly as it was intended. For honest business' not to call you. If you are getting telemarketing calls, and are on the DNC list, you are being called by foreign, or domestic criminals. The intent is to steal personal or financial information from you. Criminals will not obey the DNC or any law. Why would they? Laws are in place, but the individual must take personal responsibility for their protection. Just as you lock car & house doors, you have to treat your phone the same way. Look into using technology to block or limit such calls.
