We are suing this scam, keeps interrupting out business phone costing us big $$$$$

A company called the, Energy Conservation Group has been harassing my family for several weeks now with Pre-Recorded phone messages from different phone lines.  Using “Robo-Call” techniques, (pre-recorded messages and automated dialing machines) for telemarketing is illegal in the state of Florida.  They are breaking the law and making families miserable.  Please help me take action to stop these criminals.  If you are getting these calls; please, don’t just sit there and take it.  Take action and be heard.  No government agencies will act until enough people complain.

*  Note.  Make sure you clearly identify in each complaint that they are contacting you, “illegally using Pre-Recorded messages“.

1.  Contact the Florida Division of Consumer Services and file a formal complaint.

You do not need to be on the Florida Do-Not-Call List to file the complaint.  You will need the phone numbers the Energy Conservation Group used to call you.  File a separate complaint against each phone number they used.

2.  Contact the Florida Attorney General’s office and file a formal complaint.  The Attorney General’s office informed me that the State of Florida will not take legal action until enough citizens complain.  As of 2 June 2010, they had 11 complaints against this company.

3.  Call your local Police Department and file a formal complaint.  Remember, they are violating the law and should be held accountable.  They will not stop until forced to.

These are bad people, please report them.  They want access to you and your home.  They will not provide you with a return phone number or address.  They will not tell you of their real intent on gaining access to your home.  

-  The Energy Conservation Group is not registered as a legal company in the State of Florida according to the Department of State Division of Corporations.

-  They are not listed with the phone company or identified in the Yellow pages.

-  They are not associated with the Florida Department of Energy, the Governor’s Energy Office or any government agency.

Let’s take action and stop them NOW!

Yes,  they call over and over,  I have stayed on and told them we are on the do not call list.  They say they will take it off,  but still the calls come.    If they call in a day and we hang up,  they will call about ten times that day!    In the middle of a tattoo!   Thats why I wrote down the number,  this is so crazy,  others have to be harrassed too!     THIS MUST END!

Who are you suing ? Anybody being called might want to contact the principals and give them some grief.

TakeAction:  Thank you for the link to the Florida Consumer Services.  I have filed a complaint.  Caller ID shows "Pamela Nuzum", yet the recorded message says "Energy Conservation Group".  If you call the number, you go straight to voicemail and the mailbox is full (wonder why ...).

Thanks for the valuable information.  The Energy Conservation Group has been calling my number daily using 8 different 727 area code cell numbers but this Pamela Nuzam (727-254-3647) has been the worst. I filed complaints with the National DNC, FL Division of Consumer Services & the FL AG's Office.
providing all the numbers they use.  I hope they get a stiff fine, FL can use the $$$$.

Keep calling....Pam Nuzum...recorded message...etc. Starts,"Please do not hang up...and then on"   Same as other complaints.

We have to do something with this people... I can't stand anymore... They call at least twice a day to my husband...I am pissed off!!!!

I too have been getting those pain in the [***] calls 2 sometimes 3 times every day!! this must end!

His name is  William Willingham and his home phone number is 352 463 1685 - He is also  the responsible party  of the US federal Con phone scam in Tarpon Springs Florida

- Call  the tarpon springs police and then him, he obviously doesnt mind calls at home!

I asked them to take my name off the list and the lady laughed and said since they're "not selling anything" they aren't doing anything wrong by calling someone on the do not call list and she assured me that I would continue to get calls.  I asked her for her home number so that I could call her daily and not sell her anything and she laughed again.  I've reported this number to the DNC site three times just this week.

This company has been calling my business number daily. I never answer and they never leave a message.

I got so pissed off at the daily phone calls from these [***] that it drove me to research on them on the internet.  The results of that research brought me here where I have discovered several others experiencing the same harassment as me.  Finally after repeated calls I pressed one to speak with someone.  I calmly told them that I am sick of their repeated phone calls and to please take me off the list.  The guy on the other end informed me that they were going to continue to try and "qualify" me.  I interrupted his pitch and told him to take me off the damn list.  He then hung up on me..... and the calls keep coming.

I keep getting REPEATED recorded calls here in Tampa...and in Florida the law prohibits recorded telemarketing calls.  There doesn't appear to be a way to ask them to take you off the list.  I am registered on the Federal Do Not Call list but apparently they do not adhere to that list.  I just did a 5-year renewal on the Florida Do Not Call list but there is a break of service since Florida makes you pay while theFederal Do Not Call is at no cost to the public.

These idiots are relentless!!! Every day... repeatedly from similar numbers. Logged on to Verizon's website (since it's a local #) and searched the number. Naturally the number is unlisted, BUT, it does show that is is a land line and it is located on South side of Cleveland Street just East of Ft. Harrison according to the map they provide. These people better knock it off before someone pays them a nasty visit!!!
