no message, phantom call

This number keeps calling me.

Its a visa credit card - magazine sweepstakes fraud ring

this number calls every hour on the hour

This number has been calling repeatedly, along with 727-259-7286. Decided to look it up this morning and found this thread. Confident it was a scam, I went ahead and answered a little while ago. Lady asked for me, I asked who was calling. She gave me her name (Sabrina) and I pressed for more information. Said she was calling from CMI, so I asked who is CMI. She kept asking was I Amanda, and finally I blew up at her saying it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out, and since she now knew who I was she could take my name and number off the call list, that I had already done the research on the phone number she was calling from and know it to be a scam. She tried to convince me to go ahead and let her explain why she was calling, it was "good news from Clearwater, FL". Told her in no uncertain terms I know nothing "good" comes out of Clearwater, FL, that it's full of scam companies, and I had already asked her to remove me from the call list and I shouldn't have to ask twice. She laughed and said ok and hung up.

Whatcha wanna bet I get another call. I'll answer and raise cain again! :D

I have been getting calls from this number several times a day for the past week.  No one there when I answer, they don' leave a message and calling back doesn't get me to anyone.

This person keeps calling and when I hang out they hang up. very annyoing!

This number has been calling repeatedly, 727-259-7280. Decided to look it up this morning and found this thread. Confident it was a scam; I went ahead and answered a little while ago. Guy asked for my Sister, and I said no I’m not her. Give him my name and I asked who was calling. He didn't say his name, tell me it was about a visa card application, and I said I’m not aloud to have a credit card yet I’m only 17 and I pressed for more information. He was calling from Visa Card, so I asked who is Visa Card. he kept asking was I my Sister, and calling me honey, sweetie and stuff like that; ask me to give him my ssn. and where I was from and lots of personal info. finally I blew up at him and said please stop calling me like this you’re freaking me out, and I jus hung up at him really scary.

They asked if I was a mastercard holder, I said yes then they wanted to confirm my adress because I "had won a diamond watch, $50,000, and a magazine subscription". Definetly a scam do not answer their calls.

This number called three times yesterday. On the third call someone finally spoke. She asked for me by my first name. The woman said she was calling from Clearwater FL and I had been selected to be entered into their 1,000,000 dollar drawing. I asked if she realized she had called Alaska and she even gave me my town. I told her I was not interested and that she had called a business cell phone. I then politely asked her to remove the number from their calling list. This morning it rang to open air from the same number. An hour later it called again and a man was on the other end. He asked for me by name and started the same speach. I told him I had been called now 5 times in 24 hours. He said it take 24 to 72 hours for the number to be removed from their files. We shall see! What ever happened to the DO NOT CALL list??

This number calls me 24/7.I dont answer numbers I dont know.

I just tried calling the number back,they tell me goodbye.Isnt there anything we can do about this.somehow they have my cell phone number.

Good to know that this a new scam of the month out there.

I got an unknown charge on my Mastercard just yesterday, & even though I already reported it to my bank, a friend advised me to be careful to watch for any phone calls asking me to verify my billing address or name or anything similar.  Today I got a call from 727-259-7280 from a guy who claimed I was entered into a sweepstakes for Visa or Mastercard holders.  He asked if I owned one of the 2 and I said yes, & he then read my address and asked if it was correct, so that I could be notified if I won the sweepstakes.  

I asked him where he was from & he gave me some random initials which I believe were "INC" and went straight into asking me again to verify the address.  I said it wasn't my address and said to take me off the list.  I am not positive the 2 are related but in these times who knows...

SCAM!

These calls come from "IMC".  I missed a call on my cell & called back to find out who it was, and a woman told me about some sweepstakes & a free watch they were going to send me.  I asked her if they had a website or some way I could look up more information & she tried to elude the question by telling me about a million dollars I could also win.  I asked what the company name was & the website.  She said "IMC, & we are at IMC (dot) com"   I don't know if they are really IMC (dot) com because that company doesn't appear to be affiliated but I am not sure.  Either way, this company is a scam & if you just Google the words, "IMC scam" you'll see hundreds of angry posts about them.

Got the call this morning while at my work.  I didn't answer and no message was left

I have received calls from 727-259-7280. It rings about 3x and then hangs up.

This number has called me twice today, I knew not to answer, after reading these comments, I am glad I didn't. Something told me I will find something on this number on the web!!!!
