I filled out a small form at a local Pudgies in East Islip to win a vacation. A women called, said she was from Bahams Get Away Co. in St. Petersburg FL and I won. Gave me a claim # to call 727-456-6067 ext. 234. I asked if she was calling everyone. She said, "No, I only have your paper in front of me". I knew it was a lie. Caller ID said Security Travel 727-456-6073. I'm not calling it, just want to know if that exchage cost money to call?

In order for them to call, you had to have filled out a contest entry (usually hot pink or bright yellow) for a "free trip to the Bahamas" recently. I did so and was called by them within 24 hours saying I had "won" and all I had to do was make a long-distance to listen to a prerecorded message for the "details". (Please read above comment for said "details", as that pretty well sums it up. I presume after you decline their "generous" offer, they will then sell your contact information to other telemarketers/unsolicited mail/junk mail providers. No, thankyouverymuch. Hope this saves someone else all the bother and wasted time..."$39 reservation fee first", yeah, riiiight! LOL!

Yeah...my friend and i both filled out one of those "entry forms" the other day and were each called letting us know that we won this Bahamas Getaway. I decided to look up the phone number before calling and luckily i found this page, thank you to those of you who wrote these comments. I definitely will not be calling these people back.

If it seems too good to be true, it usually is too good to be true. I got the call & figured it couldn't be that simple. Thank goodness for sites like this one!

I filled out a form at a window tinting place, received a call a week later from Bahamas Getaways in Saint Petersburg that I "won" the trip and cruise!!!   I suckered into the whole deal, giving them a credit card for the $79 initial fee, to be refunded after the trip.  They proceeded to take another $59 for the cruise (which I hadn't agreed to).

About 3 weeks later, I received a couple brochures in the mail and trip vouchers.  After MUCH hassle and many phone calls, I was instructed to send everything back to them that I had received and IF within 30 days from postmark, they would refund all my money and not incur any more charges.
Just called (3 weeks later) and was told I am on the list for a refund to be issued "tomorrow".  We'll see.....
Wish we could trust someone...anyone....guess nothing is "free" anymore and scams abound.

They said that my claim number was mc7901. She said her name was Marianne Culler and to call 727-456-6067 ext 237 no ext 271. She said that I didn't have to buy a timeshare and that for 18 months as long as I registered I would have that amount of time to take the vacation.  She didn't sound legitimate.  Her boisterousity faded as the call prolonged if that makes any sense.  Scam, huh!  Too bad.  She said I signed up at a Nuts and Berries location.

Thank God I went with my gut and didn't answer her call! People should NOT be allowed to get away with stuff like this!!

I received a call this afternoon stating that my husband won a trip to the bahamas from the pink slip that I filled out at a Subway restaurant.  Her name was Jenna and she told me we have to claim the package by Thursday of this week.  I was almost excited but something told me to look them up on the internet and low and behold, I immediately find this!!  I wonder how the companies are allowed to post these entries in their restaurants and not be blamed also.  What is this world coming to?

    A mad DIVA!
OK, so why did this site not come up when I researched this darn company in April? I fell for the scam! However, they can keep that damn $79.00 and shove it up their behinds. I am glad I did see this before I sent them anymore money. I hate people that make a living getting over on others. I am MAD as HELL right now. I really thought I was going somewhere!
