lm - 16 Apr 2008We get calls from this BACFF at least 3 times a day, morning noon & night. The phone number I see on our cable ID is 727-869-5996 so they must be using different #'s to trick people. It's the same organization because I have answered it before & hung up on them.

I did a reverse # look up and it sent me to an office building in Hudson.
I am going by this afternoon to pay them a visit.

Kitty - 9 Oct 2008It may be a violation, unless they can pass themselves off as a charity. I went to the trouble of reporting one such number to the FCC. It's very involved, and not worth the effort. I never did find out the outcome. What I did find out is that it was a business, which kept changing their phone number, I guess so that they wouldn't get caught. There's not much you can do, unless you keep track of all the calls, the dates, the times,and try to find out if it's a business.

Kitty - 9 Oct 2008The number I got a call from is 727-862-7996, with the same caller ID: BACFF as 862- 7882. This isn't the only number, I just ignore them, or pick up and then hang up immediately. It's their dime, so maybe they wind up paying for the call. I do this with all unwanted calls. Thank goodness for caller ID. Try not to get to upset, just ignore them, or pick up, and hang up immediately. It just makes me feel like I've done something. Sooner or later they stop, but then another one pops up, there is an endless parade of idiots out there.
