called but disconnected before ans machine kicked in.  Caller ID display said "Pol Prot Fund".

Called home phone on aug 6th, 6:08pm. Left no message. Display says "ngo tu", whatever that means.

Caller asked for me by name, I asked who was calling and he hung up. Caller id showed Ngo Tu

The caller ID read POLICE PRO FUND

Said they were the police protection fund.  whoever that is.

Didn't leave a message.

8-17-10 6:49 p.m.  727-863-5033 - Police Prot Fund - The following message was left on my answering machine, no introductory identification.  "Yeah I'm trying to get this this chick that I've been looking for this chick for like 2 weeks bro."  They usually hang up if no one answers.  

Today I kept calling the number.  Phone rang 3-6 times, then fax tone came on.  Fax rang 3-9 times, then it cut off.

caller id says pol prot fund 7278635033. no message. Is there any way to stop these annoying calls?

They called my home phone and male left the message "Burn the fuc**** paint out your mouth" and then there was like 10 seconds of scratching and mumbing of other men, then they hungup. i called the number back and a women answered and said she was in the middle of teaching a class full of kids and she relizes someone is using her classroom number to make calls, she appoligized.

I received a call from them (a male) and they wanted me to make a donation by credit card or debit card.  I told them to send me donation paperwork thru the mail.  I got a second call a few minutes later from a female wanting to verify my home address that the male already verified, and she too pressured me to make a donation by credit card or debit card.  I said "no", send me the info thru the mail.  That was on 27 Aug and I still haven't received anything thru the mail.  See the review at http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm?bay=search.comments&orgid=8335

call received - male identified himself as a volunteer for, I believe it was the Police Protection Fund. He said the call was "being recorded"  He was soliciting for policemen fund "because so many are killed on duty during the year."  I asked if he was a policeman he said, no a volunteer.  I asked if he keeps a percentage of the donations collected or if all donations benefit the policemen. He said all benefits policemen.  Then I told him I would donate, thinking he would send out a letter, but he said he would take my credit card information and asked for my first name, He was very aggressive, I said that he was asking too aggressive and something told me this was a prank by his behavior.  I said no I was not interested and disconnected.

Do not call again!

try the "do not call list" Gov.com- some ststes also have a do not call list program.

They called me several times before, mo message on my answering machine, caller ID says Police PRT Fund, I think it's a scam, I had the same thing from NC I now live in TN and this call was from Florida. If this Co is  legitimate how come it had never been on the news?

..They called looking for someone else I explained they had the wrong number the guy did say well we are calling everyone in this area trying to donate to people...

I am on the Do not call list..guess the do not call list is a joke because..I keep getting calls from 3rd party people ALL THE TIME

Rec'd call today, caller ID said Police Protection Fund. Caller knew my last name. Said he was asking for donations to support the families of police officers killed while on duty.  I told him I already gave locally. He then started in with this being a 'statewide' fund...I said again, I give locally and couldn't afford to give anymore....to which he VERY snidely retorted..'yeah, right' and abruptly hung up.  
Definitely a scam...the call is from Pinellas County, FL....I live in TN.  I know for a fact TN police departments do all fundraising by a local organization not via someone out of FL.

I too received a call from this number with this same PPF Id.  I didn't answer and never will.
