i did about an hour ago, mAX wILSON AND jAY wILLIAMS were the names i was given.  I was told I ad charges against my ssn.  I never recieved the payday loan i had applied for and they were trying to tell me that i was due a payment for the loan and that if i didnt make the payment they were going to prosicute me.  but they also wouldnt answer my questions and hung up on me.

Same thing has happen to me His name is officer smith and they used another number with area code 295 or a Penn. area coded. They were stating that  a charge was against my social security number with a payday loan that i supposedly  had acquired in my bank account. Which is false. They were going to prosecute me. I have not received any papers telling me  what i owe,their actions and a thirty day chance to pay it off.. But they keep calling me.

I recieved a call this morning and on my job this afternoon saying that his name was Jim Parker with the state of investigation.
He said their were three hit against my name and social security but he could tell me who it was from what grounds and what state of investigation he was from. I will be filing legal action against this man and the company. He called my job harrassing me. 17278654360. Pretending to be a state officer of the law and i ws facing criminal charges and i never been in trouble the the law.

I receved same threatning call as listed by above people.

And I just found out the telemarketer works for Aircel

The company is located in India! I will be contacting the FBI about this. They have know right to bully and threaten people like they are officers of the law and scare people into getting their information.

I just received a call stating the same. HIs name was Jay Williams.

Same here.  Scared me so i called my local police. Glad to know in some ways i am not the only one.

We had the same HMO from Jim Barker whom was nice enough to also leave a message on our answering machine that will be turned over to the police department to have charges filed for fraud. He called my husband at work and threatened to have him fired if he didn't pay him $400 immediately. Then when my husband refused and started asking questions he started cussing him out. Well hopefully if everyone files charges they can be shut down.

I got a call from 727 865 4360. The person told me that he was officer Mike Johnson from state dept he asked for my wife and told me there is  a case of fraud against her and  she should call them or else she would be in big trouble. While I was talking to him I realized that his accent was Indian so after the call ended I called the  number back and asked him which dept and state he was from. I looked up that number on the internet and found out that they were making harassing calls to many people and It was some company in India . So I called the number back and used a lot of Indian bad word to straighten them up. and then called 3-4 times again to harass them. I am trying to find out which company they are from and send them email about  whats going on so they can take action against them. Somebody mentioned that the Company is Aircel

Shashi - Exactly same. Just received a call. I called up Federal Trade Commission and filed a complaint.

Same story here. We got an obnoxious phone call at home today. The guy said his name was Bryan Andersen. He claimed he was going to send US Marshalls to arrest me because of a debt I owed the US government. His accent was definitely South Asian.

I recieved this call the other day the man name was John Cruse with an Idiana acsent he called my job gave out my ssn to my coworker my coworker said sir you cant be giving out people info like thatI called him back we got into a shouting match I called the Sheriff in Fl they said these people are not from the state they can obtain a number from any state and harass people we need to file with tje fcc and file a federal lawsuit because people can lose their jobs like this and its not right

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

I also received a threatening phone call this morning claiming to be a officer of the U.S Government and that I was subject of an investigation. This company is a complete scam.  I will be contacting the FBI and BBB to file a formal complaint.  Does anyone know the company name or affiliation?

Somebody call him officer John smith and saying about fraud charges, which was really base less.

Just got a call from an "Officer Mike Johnson" claiming to be from the "State Investigative Agency" and asking for my wife by name. He stated that my wife had three federal charges against her and that she should call back immediately. Definite India accent that sounded like it had been digitally modded.
