Received phone call from this number on 04 FEB 2010 at 11:06AM, refused to answer. Did do a reverse phone number search on phonenumberdotcom and comes up saying that it's a Land Line with a location of Hudson, FL. We reside in Tennessee why receiving a number about an 'Officer Down' in Florida?! (Sounds like a telemarketing scam to me)

I just got a call from my mom about a message that someone left at her home for me tp call this 727 868 6336. I think I gave money to the Police Protective Fund lst year when I answered the phone at my moms. I think they gave this info to the Officer DOwn organization for a donation.

I googled this name and it comes up Officr Down Memorial page. I tried calling the number back and got a VM. I think they are looking for a donation.

this is not funny to me,if this was in my area i would call the FBI.

Left a message. Like somebody rapping. Spoke very low tone. Hard to make it all out. Something like this. "(inaudible), physically and emotionally. How'd ya like your message? I take every person with me goin' down nine three with a (inaudible)". Sounded like a TV or radio on in the background too.

Just received a call from this number.  Caller ID says "Officer Down FO."  Not the best way to solicit money.  If these people are affiliated with Police Protective Fund and they have your number, be prepared for non-stop harassment.  I got about 5 robo calls weekly now, all traceable back to PPF.  I have contacted them in Angola, IN with no results.  They don't answer their phones, and my emails went nowhere.  Now I won't give money to ANY police organizations.

I've received calls from this organization two years in a row and they hang up when I decline.  Very rude.  I gave to the police protective fund once, but have never dealt with these people.

Yes, I've been harassed for years by the ppf and now just got a call from the officer down foundation.  They seem to be using the fax number of a real estate firm in Hudson Fl.  I emailed the guy who runs this real estate firm and he didn't reply.  It's a shame that the do not call list can be ignored, and by the very people who are supposed to protect us!  Time to change phone numbers!!!

if you receive a call from 727-868-6336 or ANY phones, DO NOT DONATE, they are all Scams!!! If you want to make a Donation for anything look up UNICEF or give to your local Police Department.
These calls are currently under Federal Investigation...

I got the same phone call today  feb 26 , 2010. I did not answer . I wont answer not unless i know who it is . I pay for a nonpublished # What a waste hu !

got a call from this number, it showed up on my missed calls.  i never take calls from number i do not know.  be wise and do the same.  if it is important the person will leave a message

In the background I here a man say" Cause he's down" and then he is cut off...I have a husband and son who travel...I had to immediately call them...and make sure they were ok...then I thought to look up reverse #......I'm reporting this...my heart is racing.

I received a call from this #, March 3rd, generally I too do not answer calls from #'s I do not know. However by the time I picked up my machine already came on and they hung up. This just makes the case for not answering unless I recognize the #. Only make donations to charities you know.

Got this phone call ID "Officer Down Fo" wanting a donation while the rap music was playing in the background.

I did too but wanted to know who regiestered with.   Wish i had been here, I would have told them what to do with it.!
After I tried to get more info to give the cops.

Received call,showed on called ID, did not take the call.

I got a call from this number (1-727-868-6336) a few minutes ago.  The solicitor was an older gentleman who promised a receipt for any donation.  I told him we couldn't contribute now.  After reading these posts I have blocked the number.  I also blocked the PPF number a while back. For what it is worth, we live in northern Virginia.

Shows as "OFFICER FO" on my caller ID. Thought maybe an officer was calling so I answered. I am on the Do Not Call list, and they are the only "organization" to call. They shouldn't be allowed. I filed a complaint on donotcall.gov.
