WARNING--BEWARE!! These callers are   B I G   credit card criminals, known as the card service scammers! Under NO circumstances, give these lowlifes your credit card number, or you will regret it forever! It would be wise to block the ENTIRE '728 area code', as it doesn't exist- it is spoofed, and ONLY USED BY SCAMMERS.

Rang several times. If I have not previously id'ed a number as an approved contact I don't answer. They after I make suspicious number a contact with the spoof name so I never answer it. What a pain in the [***]!

I was just called by them too, I pushed 9 for an operator and when he came on I asked what credit card is this for(since I do not have any) he said my existing one I then asked what's the name on that account? The [***] hung up.

These guys called saying I could lower my interest rate. Not sure how they got my#?
I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

Received a call from them about 10 minutes ago; did not pick up the phone...multiple websites are reporting this to be a credit card scam - From another website: 1-728-727-6131 is not a valid number. If you are sure that you got a phone call from a number beginning with this prefix, the caller may have 'spoofed' caller ID.

This is the 1st time I see so MANY CURRENT comments on an unidentified number that just called me.  They're working hard at this date & time frame.

INTERESTING NOTE:  THERE IS NO 728 AREA CODE ASSIGNED TO ANY CITY OR AREA IN THE U.S.

From other commentors I gather that it's the usual con offering a reduced interest rate on your credit card.

Since they called my cell phone (which IS on the DNC list) I will report to MrNumber to block this number. That smart phone app is very helpful.

so 11:28 Friday July 31,2015; this number just called me asking about my master/visa card interest rate being lowered. and I told them that I don't have a master card. they then said okay well how much do you have on your remaining balance I said I don't know. then they asked a round number 3,000-4000. I said I don't know. so they pushed me a little more on the phone and I told them that I had "zero" to pay. the guy says wow!!! and hangs up on me...watch out for these quickly-mart people, shady F*cks

I received a call from them just now. I did not recognize the number. Thus, I never answered it. I simply added them to my "blocked" numbers. Thus, they can call back as many times as they like -- won't bother me as I will not know if they call! When will these moronic scammers ever learn??!?!?!!?

Got a call from this # 58 minutes ago. Didn't pick up, no VM either. Man, they're on FIRE regarding how fast they're getting to people. So many comments this last hour.

Missed the call 10 minutes ago.  No message. Glad people report these things for others to check.

just received a phone call from 728 727 6131 no message. I have been getting a lot of these calls lately. It is starting to make me nervous if someone has stolen my info....

Thanks to all for posting - its now become something akin to our civic duty to stay ahead of these people - I just got the call now - and before the 4th ring I was on this site and knew it was a scam before they even hung up.  Keep up the good work!

Just got a call from this number on my cell phone. I didn't answer. I will have to try to block this number considering the above addressed comments.

Yep they are getting around! I just got a call too. Imagine if they used this much energy to do something good...

Just received a call from them. (Had multiple calls that I didn't answer over the past couple days from the same #. Asked me to verify my credit card #. told him no and asked if he even knew my name he said he'd verify that after I verified my cc #. Told him no again and he said "I don't deserve a lower cc rate" & hung up. This number isn't even in service. Don't be taken by this scam.
