This was a recording saying that the interest rates on our credit cards could be lowered. Press 9 to talk to a live representative. I did that and said I wanted my number removed from the calling list. A man responded, "The answer is NO!" Then he hung up.

Early morning weekend call.  Did not leave message.  Woke us up.

Please get your next pet from an animal humane society or rescue group.

They call every day, all times of the day.  They do not leave a message on the answering system.  Caller ID is "unknown".  I would hope the FTC would at least get all callers to identify themselves when they call to violate one's privacy.  It is scary and disturbing.  I am on the do not call list.  Even if they hang up they call again or obtain a different number and call without identifying themselves.

call all the time, on cell phone and house phone, recording about lowering interst rates on my credit card (I dont have one) when I push 9 to talk to a live representive, I try to tell the to stop calling, to remove my number, that I don't have a credit card, I get in about 4 words and they hang up on me to day I said I want to talk to you don't hang... and they hung up again.  They call about 4x a wk.

Recorded message saying I could lower my interest rates if I pressed 9.  I did and told the guy to take me off their list as I was on the "do not call list."  He immediately hung up before I could gather any more info.  I am reporting the # to the Do Not Call Registry.

Card Services......messages press 9 to lower your interest rates......I pressed 9 and ask about the company, and they hung up!!!

Called our house while we were at work, left no message, when I called the number back I got the operator and they said its a disconnected #.

Just called me again. I was called last weekend and I checked the do not call list, I am still registered. I press nine and asked person why they are calling me I am on the do not call list. He saids that they called me because of my credit cards and that they have permission to call because of my credit cards, which I do not have. This is a huge scam leveled at getting your credit card information so please report them to https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx if you are registered so we can shut them down before they victimize anyone.

Received a call from 729-000-9896 today (10/21/2009)at 1:49pm CDT.  Hit the 9 key to talk to a live rep and connected with a person named Dan.  When I asked him what credit cards he was referring to ..... He stated all of them.  I asked do you know who you are talking to and he said not until you provide me with some information.  I told him there is no balance on my cards and asked who he works for.  He stated it is financial services and that I was getting beligerant.  I let him know that if he could not give me more information, I would contact the state AG office and report him and the phone number.  He said I was wasting his time and was goiing to hang up. I told him that he was wasting my time and to have and to quit his scamming.  Needless to say, I had a dial tone after.  Called the state AG and am waiting for feedback ..... whenever.

I tried to report this number to the do not call registry but the form will not take the number and keeps asking for a valid one.  WTH

I received a phone call on both of my land lines. They are saying "This is Rachel from CardHolder Services. We just want to let you know that there is nothing wrong with your CC account, we want to offer you a lower rate. Please press 9 now to be connected to one of our representatives." MN law states that telemarketers need to offer a DNC option after the pre-recorded messages. MN AG office said that we would need to find these people's address or company name to get the formal complaint going or to addend the THREE lawsuits that Ms. Swanson has filed against these scum. Let's see what we can do!

Got the same call.  I asked what credit card and he said "All of them".  Obviously a scam. Someone should shut this down.

Has anyone tried to play along with these guys? I was thinking next time they call me I am going to tell them that I am interested, but need to talk to my husband first, and try to get a number from them to call them back on.

I doubt this will work, but it is just a thought. I am smart enough not to give my information out over the phone. I know this is a scam. I have asked them numerous times to remove me and they keep hanging up on me, just like everyone else here.

I got the same answer !  He said I shouldn't have pressed "9" and that I'd be getting a lot of phone calls regarding financial matters.....  I WAS FURIOUS !

I've gotten the robocalls before but always just hung up. Today, I pressed '9' just to see what was going on.

A woman came on and asked if I'd pressed 9 to lower my interest rates. I said no, I pressed 9 to find out who you guys are and what credit card you're talking about.

She said she was with "Card Services" and that they deal with all the major banks to lower interest rates for credit card customers.

I asked what's the catch, what am I on the hook for, how much do you charge for the service?

She said no catch and then started asking me if I have at least $10,000 in credit card debt, and what my interest rates were. I told her I couldn't tell her the current rates because they keep changing.

Her: You don't have your statement in front of you?

Me: No. I wasn't expecting to be having this conversation. You called me; I didn't call you and I don't keep that information right by the phone.

I asked her who "Card services" is and how they operate. She hemmed and hawed and said something about "financial services" and assured me they are not a scam.

I asked her then how long I had to evaluate their proposition and make up my mind. She seemed to be getting nervous, and then I said I wanted to look them up online to see what people who have dealt with them are saying.

She told me she would be right back with their website information and then the line went dead.

When I tried to call the number back it wouldn't go through.

When I answered, I pressed 9, caller asked if I owed $3000 or more, said no, they hung up.

They are still at it.  Same as above, when I asked them where they were
located and what their company was, she hung up.  This is absolutely insane and very much illegal, I hope they call again I will pay to put a trace on this call and turn their butts in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
