- BrantlyMan with thick Indian accent wants to fix your computer viruses by you letting them call into your computer to fix it. What they are actually doing is getting your banking info and stealing money from you. It happened to my mother in law.
- GSame here. Just called wanting to fix my computer problem. The last one of these calls I was able to track down to Chicago. I threatened to buy a plane ticket to go find him and do some no so nice things to him like that guy on the commercial...lol. Please anybody in Chicago go find this idiot and make him wish he didn't call strange people.
- Rodger DuBose replies to Sick of these callsI got a call from 17293562597 with a strong accent saying someone trying to use my Microsoft account. I told them I don't have a computer and I use my smart phone. They hung up then. Tried to call them back and got a busy signal. This was on Thanksgiving.
- AngelCalled me twice. Thanksgiving day and again on Black Friday. Chinese accent called himself Jason Kenny. Clearly a SCAM to get into my PC. After claming not to hear him well, he passed me to another Chinaman, who wanted me to go to a Run Window (Ctrl R) and type eventvrw. After a few minutes of just jotting down what he wanted me to do without actually performing any command on my PC he said that I was apparently making fun of him, when all I said was that I don't see anything happening on the screen. What a scam. NYS should pursue these scam artists for homeland security fraud!
