Called, left no message. I could be wrong, but I am going to guess that this is yet another number for Portfolio Recovery. I will add it to the other 14 numbers I have in my phone for them (not exaggerating).

Got called mins ago, same thing, I think it's another number for Portfolio Recovery too.

Just received a call. Left no message. Probably Portfolio Recovery, again.  Low-life scum of the earth.

Rec'd calls from this number but never a message.................Do not answer calls from unknown numbers  !!

I got a call from this number 7312566444, like an hour ago & I answered & they said a family members name asking to speaking to them!! First of all, how did you get my number & why are you calling me asking for them??!  They didn't even mention what it was regarding. What is "Portfolio Revovery" you guys keep mentioning here??

It is a collection agency and they are aweful!!! Call at all hours of the night and are very rude if you do speak to them.

This is just one of the many number that Portfolio Recovery uses... They call me at least eight times a day. Have spoke to them once and the lady called me dumb for taking out a internet loan and then not paying it back. I proceeded to explain to her that the company that I took the loan from wasn't validated to give loans in my state therefore I was under no obligation to pay the loan. She hung up on me! Ruthless people!!!

keep getting calls from this number and a bunch of others it is portfolio recovery this is a form of harassment when they call your cell phone Home Phone and fun phone so now I tell him to go F off and he harassing phone call is $1500 per cool as it is harassment when you call an attorney and somebody did fill them in the God of War did over a million dollars so if we will tell them we're going to sue them maybe he'll stop

Called my cell phone, which I only use for emergencies, etc, and have not used for about a month. I don't even know the number, they left no message, and the only thing I owe, and owe lots and lots is medical billing. If it's them I guess they don't appreciate $10 a month on each bill, and we have about 20 of them, are on a fixed income and doing the best we can. Keep trying. What could they want? Our clothing???? You're going to get threads held together and that's about it! My $16 a month in food stamps? Our two cats? You get the idea.... we are definitely financially broke, but they won't break us spiritually!

I also got a call from this number and they left no message.  I also only owe medical bills.  But mine are still in litigation, so I haven't gotten bills yet.  Therefore, I didn't think debt collectors would be calling yet.  I might be brave and answer next time... Maybe.

Please do not call my phone as I use this for business with my employer!!! Thank you....please Delete this number off of your phone list!!          Burke Tillman

Do yourself a favor, block these Portfoolio numbers. They are not worthy to trust to call or deal with.

Your callers cannot magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. You cannot expect compliance with your orders until you deliver them *directly* to your caller.

PRA has a mailing address in Norfolk VA. Certified Mail is best for your demand, so PRA can't play dumb later.

Debt collectors are not allowed to insult or belittle people. They also cannot misrepresent the legal status or nature of a debt. The high volume of daily calls should be seen as annoying or harassing by a judge with half a brain. Round up your evidence and sue PRA for the above FDCPA violations.

Bill collectors get your information in various ways including skip tracing.  Or, your family member listed you as a reference, they will use this information to help contact the individual they are looking for.
How they obtained my number was from either Career Builder or Monster, since I made the mistake of listing my resume public.  I immediately started receiving calls after I posted my resume.

They only call me once a week.  It is illegal for w bill collector to call you more than 1 time a day.  If you save the call log from the number that called you, you then have proof and can sue them regardless if you owe the debt or not.

I keep getting calls from Portfolio Recovery, I have no past due bills, no bills in collections so I don't know why they are calling my number (which I've had since 2008).  Since I don't recognize the calls I don't answer the phone and they don't leave any messages.  They don't leave messages on answering machines or voicemail because that would count as contact and they can only leave a message or call your number (once each for home, cell, work, etc) once per day.  If they call & you don't answer & they don't leave a message it doesn't count as contact.

They don't read this.
