These people keep calling me on my cellphone.  STOP CALLING ME KNOW.  !!!!! I AM ON THE NATONAL DO NOT CALL LIST!!!!!!

No one there? Ringing phone disrupting your work? I just blocked this new number and no more disturbance. If you add a call blocker (I use Call Control on Android) you can program all the Portfolio Recovery numbers and have peace of mind. They use illegal tactics to trick you into saying things they can use against you, so do NOT talk to anyone there. Just block their calls.

This is one of the many telephone numbers used by Portfolio Recovery Associates.  This company buys 1000's of written off bad debts.  They also have thousands and thousands of law suits they've filed all over the country.  They call day and night.  You should see their BBB rating  NONE  this company is crooked and REALLY bad news!

I didn't pick up the call. They left no voicemails. From the comments of this thread, I recognize this company. I had blocked two of their other numbers. I began getting their calls after I filed an LLC via legal zoom. I suspect that they were able to phish my registrant information from the public domain.

Dozens of calls, I don't answer and they don't leave a message. How do I block there calls?

Got one this morning. The dangers if having a very common first/last name combo.  Blocked the number in the phone.

What, exactly, do you think the "Do Not Call List" does? It has nothing to do with this. It prevents unwanted SOLICITATIONS. This isn't a solicitation. It's a debt collection.

Got a call this morning. Didn't answer, no voicemail. But I am in Portfolio Recovery Systems' database and get calls from other numbers of theirs, so this makes sense.

These people are bottom feeders; they feed off people hard luck whose credit card debt has been written off, used as a tax write-off. These people either harrass you constantly by calling u constantly. Usually these are OLD debts and they threaten you, harass you etc but have no teeth to collect because of legal time restraints.

Calls constantly with automated system. Disconnects call as soon as answered. HARASSMENT

I know...and I have gotten calls from All these numbers.....I have Call Blocker on my cell...It is a Blessing.
I recommend it...Let it go ...We All made mistakes in the past. at least I did...Stop hounding me!!

The National Do Not Call list only stops telemarketers from calling, not debt collectors.

As the FCRA details, you are not obligated to pay any collectors who have purchased your bad debt since you have no legal binding contract with them. You are beholden to the original grantor and no one else.

Don't know who these people are!!! They never leave a message, if I pick up, they disconnect me! What the Hell???
I'm sure I have older debt from my younger days, if that's what these people represent, but if they don't even talk??

cell numbers are supposed to be unlisted info ,, how do they get this info?
