Honest, legitimate  companies usually follow the DNC.  Thieves and scammers  do not.

Pre-recorded message. At first I thought I heard them say it was Carnival Cruiseline but then they said it was about lowering my credit card interest rate. These people are calling under so many different numbers/cities now. I'm blocking them pretty regularly.

The Do Not Call registry only means something to honest people, and legitimate businesses.  Phone companies, i.e. Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, are complicit in these annoying, illegal, and barely legal annoying calls, by providing these criminals with access to phone lines, and literally thousands of phone numbers, to use in "spoofing" caller ID, "getting around" call blockers, and frustrating authorities.  According to Consumer Reports, the FTC raided one of these "boiler room" operations, which allegedly took in $18 million.  Yes, that's $18 MILLION!  Yet, this bu**sh*t continues.  Why?  Obviously, because of the big money involved.  Big money for the scumbags, as well as the phone companies - who charge the crooks monthly for each phone line, and for each call.  Someone (I've forgotten his name) on this site said that scam/annoying phone calls seem to be here to stay - sad but true.  I get 3 to 5 a day, despite the fact that my number is/has been on the Do Not Call Registry!  My advice - just don't answer a call if you don't recognize the number!  If it's legitimate, the caller can always leave a message (surely you have some sort of voice mail/answering machine).  And, NEVER EVER give out your bank information, credit/debit card(s) numbers, or ANY PART of your Social Security number to anyone!  That's NEVER EVER.  That way, you can't possibly lose anything.  Sure, they're annoying, but that's just your reaction - which you control.  I hope everyone finds this helpful   By the way, Verizon,et al, if you're reading this, I have used my real name here. Sue me - please.

Same as others - pre-recorded message, didn't answer the call, voicemail left. SO ANNOYING. I added the number to my block list. DNC only works for decent companies. Guess who doesn't care about the DNC list? These people.

I got a call from this number yesterday from New Jersey...and it was my "LAST CHANGE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY".  So, pray tell, WHY DID THEY CALL AGAIN TODAY???  LOL  Today's voicemail was "press 1 to *couldn't understand* and press 3 to disconnect".  The entire call was garbled and hard to understand.  Ridiculous.

I just received this number on my phone. If I don't know who its from I just won't answer it.  These calls are truly annoying.  I block them.  Usually they come every day.  Morning,  noon and night. Simply don't anwer and place them on your no call list.
