Many calls saying METCHUN NJ and I have no idea who it is or what they want.  Redial says number no longer in service and it was just now that it called me.

I received a call on 07/15/08 from Tina Williams at 732-452-5204 stating she was a purchasing manager from BDS Technologies in New Jersey. BDS is actually in Texas. She said she was looking for managed services from our worldwide communications firm. Her accent sounded east asian. It was a 'too good to be true' opportunity for managed services. She used the same premise as in an earlier note, looking for my email to set up a conference call with the project team. I called the number back when my follow-up email bounced and found the number was not assigned.

I just received this exact same call as well.  Woman said she was the procurement manager for BDS Technologies and they are opening up a 600 employee state of the art call centre in Toronto by the end of 2008.  When I asked her for the address she said she "did not have it in front of her".  She sounded VERY young and east asian.  She asked me alot of questions about my background so I am sure she is some type of headhunter.

I got the same call on my cell phone today. The line quality was so poor that she asked for my office number.  I gave it, but then suggested that I would not be there today as I am at a client site for the day. I asked for a number to call back and was given 732-452-5204.

The interesting thing is that 5 minutes later she called my office and asked for my cell phone number, which is where she already called me.

When I called the number it was "not in service".  The callerid was actually different than the number she told me so I called that number.  An automated system answered with a message that this number is from a Canadian bank, but not currently in service.

This is very strange indead.
