I returned call from "John Wilson from WBB" who left a message on my work voice mail message.  When he answered the phone (same voice), he answered "Hello" and did not say name of company or his name.  I indicated who I (gave my name) and told him I was returning his call.  That is when he said he left me a voice mail message by accident.  I don't see how this could be since my work voice mail system clearly indicates who I am and my title.

This same "John Wilson from WBB" called one of the EVPs in the office where I work...the message was forwarded to me as I work in the PR department and the EVP thought he was from a radio station.  Oddly, when I tried to call him back I heard a strange thing I've never heard before...without hearing even a single ringtone, I hear an automated voice message saying, "the number is not answering" and then the line is disconnected immediately, no chance to leave a message.

Whomever or whatever he is, he smells like scam.

Received voice mail message 8/31/07 on business number from John Wilson WBB requesting a return call: My voice mail as well identifies our company name.

Believe this to be a scam and did not return call.

Received voice mail at work 9/4/07 2:27 PM.  "Hi.  This is John Wilson with WBB.  When you get a chance, please give a ring back.  My number is 1-732-490-6276.  Thanks a lot."

Based on other posts receiving the same message I did not return the voice message.

Same as all of the others - Received the call "This is John Wilson with WBB.  When you get a chance, please give me a ring back." with the same number.  This also was on my work that give name and company.....  What struck me as strange, it sounded like a recording which prompted me to google the company name.

I didn't bother calling after I read this!

I recieved the exact same call on my work line - it rolled to my voicemail and I have not called the number back.

John Malillo was the name of the person asking me to call him back at the same number. No company or other information was provided. Left on a the message was left on a Sunday. 732 is a NJ exchange

I too received the same call from "John Wilson" left on my office voicemail. Working in broadcast, we receive calls from our sister stations in the US. WBB did not ring a bell so I Googled the number and found this posting. Smells like a big time scam...

I also received this morning at home, a call from the same number (732-490-6276) but on my caller ID the name that appeared was John Merillo. Never called back after searching at this website

I also received a call on my work phone from 732-490-6276. This character saying he was John Merillo left a message. Didn't say where he was calling from or why. I Googled the number and found this site. I've deleted the message and I'm not calling back.

Same here as what sal said.  Received a voice mail on work number, but I will not be calling back.

I got messages on my work number AND cell.
I did try to call back and it just rang and rang.  
I won't call again

yep, sept 18 and he's still at it. i didnt call him back either. i wonder who does.

left 2 messages. said he was john merillo. I called back once but got no answer. After checking this site I will not call back again.
