Allenhurst, NJ on caller ID, did not pick up

Me too. March 16th--second call in a week. Have now blocked it.

Caller said wanted to speak to person about JCPL electric bill.

Gruff man mumbled his name asked for JCP&L account holder by NAME.  Asked who he was again. He asked AGAIN if this was the account holder (by NAME).  I replied we don't give out information to an unknown caller.  This snake replied that he already said his  name. At that point I asked for the COMPANY NAME which he did not give and--as if I have  an
obligation to tell him anything, again demanded to know if i was the NAMED ACCOUNT HOLDER.  At that point I said Listen buster, i'm not giving you any information until you identify the business you represent. He hung up.

I called the Account Holder at work and learned the account is paid up to date, and in fact expects the the new bill to arrive around the 17th.  So....  maybe this guy was one of the new energy-provider scammers ?

Our bill is right up to date too. I did not pick up. Probably a scam to get you to switch to some other energy provider,. possibly one which does not exist (in an effort to get credit card #)

I received a call from this number while I was vacuuming & did not hear the phone ring. I've received calls from jcp&l in the past when we oops, missed a bill. I'm pretty sure caller ID comes up as jcp&l

Called number back and it is "Energy
Choice Center".  Blocked further call as DO NOT CALL LIST is a big waste of time.

Got a call from this number and it was a lady who verified my apt number and a partial street address. Then she said it was a "courtesy call" from a letter which was supposedly previously sent to my address - but was most likely "overlooked" hence the courtesy call. But it the purpose was to get me to get my current energy supply bill, give them some info from it, so I can lock in a "price protection" rate before the new summer rate increases take effect. I told the lady I did not have time for this and she said it would only take a few minutes, and if I waited, the company (Whoever that is) only send out these letter quarterly. I said it would have to wait then, and she said "alright" but in a tone like I was really missing out on something. So I hung up and called my true energy supplier and asked if there was any such program.  They said "NO WAY, IT'S SCAM!'" and went on to say that it was a good thing that I was suspicious and called them to verify that. My true company told me to tell everyone I know not to fall for this telephone energy scam!  Another thing that clued me in to possible fraud was that this number is in North Jersey and I live in South NJ and my true company would have never called me from such a number with this garbage!

Everyone says this is JCP&L, but I live in Atlantic County & have Atlantic Electric and never in my life every had JCP&L.  I called the number back and it rang a long time then a message came on saying I reach the NJ Energy Choice Program so I hung up.

got a call on my home phone. I only answered because it was a local area #. No one was there when I answered so I waited & when I said hello for the 3rd time, they hung up. I called the # back & after 20 rings, a message said you've reached Experian. I think it's a solar or another company claiming to lower your electrical bill.

Got a useless call from this number, useless for them because the area I live in cannot change our electric carrier unless voted on by our community. Not by individual household

Constant daily calls  from this number !!!    No messages calls late at night too !!

Lady call, bad connection. Asking about Peco rate. I can do this my self select an electric company online. All info is online in Pa website and to compare. Which I have. Good rate lock in for  two years.

We got a hang up from this number today @ 12:16 PM. We can just add it to the list of hang ups that come everyday.
