I don't answer "unavailable" phone calls.

Continuously phones; never leaves a message.

It's a Law Firm and you could usually get through to them if you before 9pm EST.  If you call, make sure to block you're number cause they will track that and call you back with unwanted phone calls.

I guess I should forward this on to my bankruptcy attorney then because they SHOULD NOT be calling me.

to anyone who has received calls fron 732-578-1008: do not speak to this person!!!!!They do not even list their name in the phone book!!!! They claim they are Haak,Haak and Landau, and they are bill collectors looking for the people who ran out on their bill or they are trying to pin that person's debts on another family member.


I have Comcast phone and an an email came to me at work notifying me that a call from 732-578-1008 came in. I immediately looked it up on white pages.com, and the name of the owner was not listed.I called the number and a woman answered. I told her that her number came up on my caller ID and I wanted to know who it was. She asked me my name. I refused to give it.(I called these people back on my cell phone) She put me through to some man. He asked me my name. I first asked him what he was calling my private unlisted number about. When he asked for the number, I have him just a 609 area code. He knew right away who he was speaking to.I asked him where he obtained my unlisted number; he said he has private investigators to find out that info. I asked what he wanted with me, and he said he was looking for my ex husband. (my ex has been dead for 8 years) I told him that if his private "dicks " were so resourceful, they would have found out that my "ex" had dropped dead 8 years ago in his apt in east newark and that his remains were interred in a cheap urn in some mausoleum in East Orange NJ. I told this man that I have his number on my CALLER ID and also he is to stop harassing my daughter also, and to stop sending phishing postal mail to my home with my ex's name on it, or I will turn him in for postal fraud. Someone actually went to my daughter and her husband's home and told her that her father owned her home and that they were going to seize it for his late payments or something. She brought out her deed and tax papers and said Now who owns the house now???

I hope this Haak Haak and Landau sees this post because I am planning to turning his skanky a$$ in for harassment.The [***] is nothing but a [***] sucking leech waiting to pounch on any poor unsuspecting soul.

Ijust dialed the number at 1:55am and a machine answered Haak, Haak and Landau, attorneys at law. First some old cocky britich woman answered on an answering machine, whom you can hardly understand, then some american woman spoke clearly and precisely the lattorney's names.

Your story sounds awful!  You should call your local Attorney General's Office,  tell them your story.  You can sue them for harrassing you, especially since they told you about some private investigator.  That was a bluff!  If they really had a good private eye they would have known about the death of your husband.  They took a civil suit against my husband for an old credit card debt.  We are paying them $25.00 a month, it is all we can offer.  They are slime bags according to the blogs.  They are no better than the debt collectors that call your hosue from 9-9 p.m.  Good Luck!

Yes I totally agree with all of you! Hayt, Hayt and Landau are not a professional Law Firm at all! I have been dealing with these people for over 3 years now all because I tried to take advantage of one of those firms that say they can get you out of debt in a year tops, well I entrusted into one firm and I was making monthly payments to them without fail and one day after doing that for 3 months only I got served with papers from HH&L stating I had to go to court if I did not call them to pay my credit cards off, I then called them and explained to them I was told not to make payments to the credit card companies anymore that this firm would make monthly payments on my behalf, needless to say they kept the money in their interest account without forwarding payments to any of the companies, so now I am paying them off thru HH&L, however, my debts to the two credit cards were not at all that high and for the money I am paying every month, they should have been paid off by now! I wrote to them in January 2009 when I lost my job due to the economy to let them know I had to move and have no employment and never heard from them until today October 17, 2009 I received an automated letter telling me when my next payment will be automatically deducted from my account! No where on there does it state how much was paid and how much more you have to go in order to finish the payments! I think they are milking hard working people that try to do the right thing and then they take advantage of you!!! My brother is an Attorney now, so I am going to tell him to look into this so called firm and take care of this for me!

Received a call from this firm at 8:15 am.  Had never heard of them and when I asked if anything had been sent in writing to identify them I was told absolutely that has already been mailed, yesterday.  Not sure how they think the mail works but they are very optimistic.  Bottom feeding credit collection agencies are the scum of the earth and while then banks and other predatory lenders are bailed out with tax payer funds and still getting paid and bonuses, the lenders write off the loans and the consumer still has to pay?  How does that work?  Collection agencies should be outlawed.  Lenders make loans based on risk.  Not getting paid back is a risk.  Make better loans!

I shut this firm down within two minutes of my returned phone call. If they leave you a message they have to put out their disclaimer that they are attempting to collect a debt. The guy called me at work, which is a number that I did not provide. Lucky for me my work records every message and incomming call. I'm getting this wiped out for sure....IF YOU READ THIS "STEVE BARBUROSA". I WILL SUE YOU FOR HARASSMENT! When I'm done with you.....you will be paying off my house instead of me!

this company faxed my husband's place of employment, wanting verification that he still worked there. what can we do?

same thing here, and he said they would HAVE to garnish my wages. So they sent somethign to my job and my stupid Human Resources person went ahead and gave them all of my information without even consulting me first! WTF! now they call my job and my cell at least 2 to 3 times daily. This happened well over a year ago. and they have not garnished anything. i am assuming they can't?  BAck when i first got a call from them and spoke with that same [***] guy, he couldn't prove who this so called  old debt was for? I asked for all of the info i needed like address, validation of the debt and so on, because i had been taken before by some indians, and he only sent me some fake account number on thier own letter head.  they are Haytt Haytt and Landeau

they keep calling when this bill was satisfied and pd in full.  sent certified copies to them with copy of final check, which was marked on the ck pd in full, owe 0.00.  final ck was cashed in 2008.  still calling and harrasing me

received a call from this number but left no message....I did a search and found out some info on them...I will be sending them a DV letter since they sent me a letter a few days ago...except that I received something from anothe DC a year ago and sent a DV letter and am still waiting on the SAME acct.  Now its by someone else....I just do not know how they got my cell number!!!

In response to got stuck, they can't garnish your wages if you live/work in Pennsylvania. They faxed ME the form for employment, which led me to this web-site. They and their sister company keep calling my house and work, but they don't leave messages. I can't talk to them at work, but they don't seem to get the message!
