My wife got a call from this number and the person, with a fake british accent, warned about three federal charges against her and was very abusive wth her on the phone warning her of dire consequences.  When my wife mentioned that she will consult with me, he hung up.  He never got to the part where he would ask for money.  Anybody else got a call from this number?  Must be a new scam.

A phony officer of some made up company says that they have legal case against my name and identity.  Really? WTF does that even mean?

He had some sort of foreign middle eastern accent.  These losers seriously need to be deported.

A phony caller claimed his name to be Max Wilson from the state investigation department called today to inform me that they have received a legal affidavit against my name. He wanted me to call him back ASAP on the above number, Failing to call will result in an issue of an arrest warrant against my name, and that I will be in legal trouble. Over the last 15 moths I have received similar calls at least 6-7 times and at least 3 times the caller claimed his name to be Max Wilson though his voice and phone number was different each time Max Wilson called!!!

That Max Wison with middle eastern gobbledegook accents left me the same type of message 10 minutes ago, same as that for the Annoyed Person. Any way to place Mr. M. Wison, or whoever that scum may be, behind the bars?  

Received a call from this number stating he was an officer with the name of Jack Roberts from the State Investigation Department.  He had a British accent.  He said that there are three serious allegations to be downloaded at the New York Court House againt me.  He told me to call him back immediately and if I didn't there would be serious legal actions taken against me and an arrest warrant will be taken on my name.  He closed by saying God Bless and have a great day.  He called at 10:56 am EST.  This seems to be a prank.  I thank all for posting about this number.

We got same phone call from same number.claim to be sam riches.

We got the same call from the same no. Someone posed as from New Jersey State investigation department or such and said I didn't pay my state taxes. He asked whether I'll be interested in out of court settlement to drop the charges etc., It was very fishy....!

I got the call from this number and went to the voice message. The message says, call from the state investigation department and I need to call this number back ASAP otherwise the arrest warrant will be issued. This is an Asian accent too.. I checked in whitepages and this number belongs to YMax Communications Corp. Landline in New Brunswick, NJ .

Same here. Fed department, or call your local police office and they should be able to track it down and do something with it.

Got a call from the same number, the man claimed to be Steve Morgan. He left a message, heavy indian accent.

This Sam Riches idiot also left me a vm about 1/2 hour ago. Had a thick Spanish accent. Wish I was around to take his call ... would have scared the daylights out of him.

Just received the same call. How come they are still operative with a USA number even after so many cases.

Just Received a call from this number in the caller ID showing "NEW BRUNSWCK NJ" AND the tel number 732-645-1697. I didn't pick the first two times no VM. Finally I pickedup phone and the guy was asking my first name and last name I told him to go [***] your self and hungup. They claim that they are from the State Investigation Department.  This is a scam be aware !!! don't give any details to these guys. Be alert !!

I also got a call saying they were calling from State Investigating Department of California.  I asked him his name, he gave me his name as Sam Richards, I asked his badge ID number, he said 7692, I asked how I would verify his identity, he said to call back this number.  Called from land line and spoke with a British accent person Erik, and I asked him what is the name of the person with Badge ID number 7692, Eric gave me the name Jack Roberts. I told him Iworked for FBI and am tracking this number, he immediately hung up.

I also got a call saying they were calling from State Investigating Department of California.  I asked him his name, he gave me his name as Sam Richards, this is a fraud.
