collection call from Pioneer Credit Recovery (PCR). - william petrie replies to anonthey keep calling even after i let them know the person does not live at this address.i don't know the person they are calling for, but they keep calling. you would think the do not call list would take care of this matter for us. just goes to show, when government gets involved they screw it all up. do not call, what a joke..
- Briden Construction LLCCalling to illegally verify employement with the use of "did you get my fax" as a ruse. When asked for the fax number they sent it to the person quickly made up a number obviously off the top of her head. Keeps calling despite rewquests to the contrary. Wont identify who they are and the purpose of the call is "personal business."

- AnonymousI've received multiple calls from this number because it was not in my area code, but now i have read that it is from a company asking for information, so is this some type of scam?
It only started in the last 2 months for me, about one call a week. - AnonymousIts a collection agency according to this thread on 800notes... They call a couple of times a day, every day. Never leave a message.

- anoncaller| 1 replyGot the same call. These people do actually help. They seem to be very professional even though I was obviously frustrated. It's my fault they are calling me, so I figured I'd get it taken care of. It is frustrating that they call so frequently, and never at a good time though.

- Lookout replies to anoncallerJust look out! This "company" has a history of illegal practices. They draw you in with empathy and understanding. I read their paperwork, checked it with an attorney: BE CAREFUL - you may be giving consent for them to literally EMPTY your bank account if you should be late on a payment, or their interest rate suddenly increases.
Bottom line: Don't give ANYONE carte blanche to your bank account. - Frustrated!| 1 replyAbsolutely be careful. They are Debt collectors (which is fine) but they are also scandalous. We should all be paying our bills but these people are like leeches. They want you to squeeze blood, sweat and tears from a dried up turnip and then borrow your neighbors turnip. There IS a professional way to do this but NCO hasn't figured that out yet. And DO NOT give them access to your account because they WILL clean you out on the premise that you gave them permission... and just TRY to get that money back if you had a mortgage or car note to pay! AARGH!!!

- anonymousI received a call from this company asking for my ex-daughter-in-law. She and my son have been divorced for over eight years. When I told the man who called that I did not know how to reach her he was indignant and refused to believe what I had said. I told him to take my name off their list and then hung up.

- LIARS replies to Frustrated!I made made an agreement with a credit collection co. for a set amount (auto debit was the only way they would do it). Was laid off & of course income was way less, they agreed to a set amount for 6 months & were to call me to review it in 6 months to see f I could do more. Well the 3rd month I got a letter a week before the debit stating they planned on taking an extra $30 a month. i called them & told them no way, I was withdrawing my consent to take any debit as of that date & I faxed & mailed them a letter also, fortunately they did not take any more debits.
If you ever want to consider agreeing to any payment plans or terms, discuss what you can pay, have them send you a letter of agreement by email or fax with the amount, ect (in layman's terms) & only after you get it, if it i correct then sign it & fax it back or respond by email aggreeing to it. Hey- they always want things in writing from you right! I will never do it by auto debit again, I only mail a check or go on line to pay it myself; another option is to open a checking account for that purpose only & deposit just enough for the monthly payment & $5-10 to keep the account open; first time they debit more or more often, close the account & report them. I am willing to pay these kind of people want I can do, but often they won't accept what you know you can actually pay & they want more; but often you owe more than 1 company, it's only fair to give a bit to each but they want it all. A friend once used the 'past presidence' rule on one of her creditors; she sent them a certified letter saying she would pay by check at $10.00 a month on the original balance only, no interest or fees, etc. until the balance was paid off. They accepted the checks for several years which meant they agreed to that. Later they sold it to collector that tried to add thousands of dollars as 'legal fees', sh told them just forget it, they aren't getting any more, she continued to sent the $10, they ended up writing it off but sent her a W-2 as income for the balance (including the interest, fees, etc.)! We tried credit counseling, but they wanted almost as much as we the regular bills were, so Bankruptcy is your only recourse and what they really want you to do, they consider credit counseling as bad as filing bankruptcy so you might as well & get it cleared up & get them off your back. - DaleinazThis number has called a few times over the past month or so. I have no bad debts, so they must be fishing for information about a neighbor.

- PhilipI got a call and did not recongize the number so I hit ignore button. I just put their number into google and found this tread. Now I have programed their number in my call reject list.
ps. I have NO debt so I see no need to ever speak with these people. - badsammyIts from Pioneer Credit something or another. In my experience with debt collectors, these ones are actually really helpful and professional. They're working with me on a month by month basis to get my student loans rehabed so I can go back to school. I have nothing but good things to say about them, which seems weird because they're the enemy, but its true.
