- Mononica| 2 repliesActually, they didn't call me. I was sent an email saying they couldn't get my phone number off of Monster.com.
It reads:
Earlier this week we received your application / resume from one of the Job Boards that our company works with, Monster.
However at this time the only contact information that we have is your email address as your phone number did not load properly.
We are interested in setting up a first interview with our Regional Manager at your earliest convenience.
Please contact Terri Roeder on Wednesday at 734-281-3468 between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm so that we can schedule your interview for our Taylor office ASAP.

After googling her name and ail, I found this site with a different phone number. That post confirms a scam. - Jim| 1 replyI received the same e-mail. From what I can tell it is American Income Life insurance. If you look them up on ripoff report, they have some very sketchy selling and hiring practices.

- cyborgYeah, got the same email as these two other folks. Same number. Sounds bogus. Didn't bother calling.
- JobseekerI just received a call from this number. I didn't pick up, as I didn't recognize it. Thank goodness there are forums like this so people can check out these unscrupulous companies.
- AngieSame thing here. Just did a quick search and found these messages.
- DemetriosYeah, I had the same thing, email for me. Phone didn't load properly, I was thinking, load of [***]. I mean, I was somewhat interested since I"m looking all over the place for a job. I recently had been contacted by mostly Life insurance companies which is not something I want to do. I usually research about a company and I found this site. Its good to know this is here, too many scandalous people and sites now-a-days. I understand this company is real and not so much a scam, but I'm definitely skeptic after reading all these posts. It would only be worth contacting if you want to sell life insurance. So glad I found this site and not have to deal with a BS phone call. Thanks a bunch!!! Here's the email I got.

- Brandon Braun replies to ladybethIm just responding to this blog...I am the hiring manager for our Taylor office for American Income (the largest provider of benefits to unions in North America, and can testify that this is an actual business that has been in business since 1924. In addition to being in business for over 80 years, our company also has an A+ superior rating by A.M. Best (the oldest and most respected rating service for financial strength. We are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under Torchmark corporation (fortune 600 company). So before you start posting, maybe you should do some research.
Brandon Braun 313 999 1520 - anonymousOK, I accepted your challenge and googled "American Income" and found many complaints and rebuttals. The complaints were obviously written by different people (different writing styles) with common complaints ranging between deception which is basically failure to disclose stuff in a straightforward manner (that you'll be an independent contractor for AI and not an AI employee for example) to outright misrepresentation of facts, and lots of both are claimed. I won't describe them here; you can google like I did. What did amaze me is googling "American Income" brought up scam.com, complaintsboard.com and pissedconsumer.com as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th hits respectively. Normally you'd have to google "American Income scam" for them to show up at all or somewhere further down the google listing but for them to be ranked that high without having to add "scam" to the search term is breathtaking. scam.com has ~1400 complaints and rebuttals. The complaints ring true, the rebuttals don't. There are other complaints further down the google list and *do* google "American Income scam" -- you'll be astounded by what shows up. BTW I did not find complaints in my limited reading that AI was a fake business or that AI was financially unsound. All the ones I read were on their hiring, training and sales practices so it's baffling why Mr. Brau brings up AI's longevity in business and how financially sound it is -- aspects of AI that no one is complaining about.
- Deb replies to JimDitto....I received the same email. Called and played phone tag for a couple of days. Finally spoke with Terri and this is an insurance company looking for sales people. No thanks!
