I called the number back and it said it was disconnected.

The UofM peds department in Ypsilanti,MI. It is an outgoing number only, they were probably just trying to confirm and appt.

The same thing is happening to me -- I live on the East Coast and I have gotten 3 calls from there in the last two days.

Just got a call from them as well, also in MN, no connection to them, no message.

I just got a call too. I live two blocks from central campus but peds wouldn't have any reason to call me.

ditto here; no appointments and, maybe more importantly, no kids.

I got a call from this number and "Steve" left a message with his last name that I could not understand.  Not urgent.  Knew my business. Left a return number with a 734 area code.

No message left (just 10 seconds of silence) on my voice mail when I was away from my desk -- but the phone system said the call was from this number.  I work in San Francisco.

This is a generic University of Michigan outgoing number. It could be anyone who is calling from a phone operated by the University of Michigan.

It's probably the UM Alumni calling for money or something.

ugh.  i got two calls from this number too.  the caller didn't even leave a voice mail.

They called and wanted to do a survey of some sort. I said no. They kept calling back until I picked up again and told them to not call back anymore.

I get calls from them too.  I am an Alumnus (Engineering), but since I now live in Alabama I bet it was fund raising which now seems to be a non-stop activity.  Even my season football ticket renewals are part of fund-raising.

I got a call from that number on a Sunday night at 8:50pm.  They said they wanted to speak to my mother.  When I gave my mom the phone, they asked her for PERSONAL information for their RECORDS.  My mother refused to answer because when she asked what it was really for, the girl just kept repeating the same thing.  I got to UM and they have all of my family's personal information.  Also, who does this kind of thing at 9pm on a Sunday?

Two calls this morning, 10am and 12noon EST.  I live on the east coast and am not a UMich alum......

I was just at UM for a football game this weekend and we got called today in MD. What's up with these people?

I have to agree that this is a generic UM number.  This is the phone number that shows up when my boyfriend calls me from any of the lab phones he uses on campus.

I checked my cell phone at 11:10am EST today and found I had a missed call from this number at 11:07am (my phone was on silent so that's why I didn't know I got a call) but whoever it was didn't leave a message. I live in the Ann Arbor area, but I haven't started applying to colleges yet (I'm still in high school), so I have no idea why they would call me. The only person I can think of who might call me would be my friend's mom who's a chem professor at U of M, and I have no idea why she would call me...

my wife works at the u of m campus and if she has to call me from her lab phone this is what comes up. so yea its a generic outgoing number for u of m health systems
