Kyle, I got a call from this number today, any idea who it is??

IGNORE THE CALL !!!
   A woman called me from this number, She Told me she got my resume from hot-jobs. She said that they are a "debt relief" company.....I said "wait....Im a truck driver " she said they have some positions they would like me to apply for!  So we set an appt time!  She told me this was to be a "buisness overview" and I need to wear a suit !!
Ok...I gotta wear a suit to a buisness overview? (not an interview)
They help people get outta debt...(I drive a truck)
I gotta feeling these guys are debt collectors!!!

Ok.... now I know what it is!!
It's "PrimERICA"! A multi-tier pyramid scam company trying to get you to come in by telling you they have open positions and to come in for an interview!! Once you're there they do a lot of double talking trying to sucker you into this pyramid scam!! You have to pay for their seminars
They rarely answer the phone because it may be a pissed person on the other end!!

I reviewed your resume and I would be very interested in speaking with you about a couple of opportunities that I currently have available.

She didn't bother to tell me anything about the positions that are available, nor did she identify the company she is with.  I haven't bothered to call her back.  It seems to me that anyone with a legitimate job opportunity would at least tell you what company they are with... seems a little odd.

Ok, I got this call as well and am unemployed. Is this a scam?? Should I NOT go to the meeting???
Looking at the posts I think I should cancel.... Has anyone gone to the meeting and thus has first hand information???

I got a couple of phone calls and e-mails from this same number 734-772-3157. She is from Primerica Financial Services, a pyramid scam. Google their name and look at all the complaints all over the internet. She gave me the same story.. found your resume online, am looking for people with good people skills, ect. I told her that I have a degree in another field. She said that it didn't matter. Would you want someone with no financial experience taking care of your money? Not me. Also, they want you to PAY for your training to get your "license" and want you to sell insurance to all your friends and family. Once you've made them mad, you have to call strangers, but by that time you're fed up because you don't get paid for your training and since you don't have a license yet, your trainer gets the commision. They also try to get you to recruit all your friends and family so they make money off of you. It's just a big SCAM, stay away or you'll go broke working for them.

Caller attempting to recruit "insurance agents". Found my resume on hot jobs. (You can block this company from searching your resume in hot jobs using HOTBLOCK.)  I am an sheetmetal CAD designer not an insurance agent.
These people will even approach you on the street, I saw this happen in the past while this guy was filling up his gas tank. They are unscrupulous.

Primerica is an insurance company that works on a pryamid scheme basis.  You sell to your friends and family. The person who recruited you gets a cut and so do all of the people that recruited that person, etc all the way up the line. You run out of friends and family to sell to, you are out of a job, but the commissions keep flowing in to those that were above you in the pyramid.  This company has always had a horrible reputation even throughout the insurance industry no one wanted to be affiliated with them. Don't call back and don't go to their "Meetings" or seminars.

I received a call from this number asking if I was open to exploring an opportunity.  As I have been unemployed for almost 6 months I said of course.  She identified herself as working with Primerica right up front.  I was invited to the overview and was a little skeptical.  Did some in depth research, more than a search on the World Wide Web, a.k.a  "World Wide Bathroom Wall."  Those claiming a pyramid scam, get a clue!  The largest company in the MOST HIGHLY REGULATED industry on the face of the planet!  Do you really think it's a scam.  OH! my mistake you let other people you don't know do your thinking.  Smooth move!  I actually attended the overview and although it was not an opportunity I wanted to pursue, they are an Awesome! company and I would refer all friends & FAMILY to them.

You got some nerve lady.

I got the call, too ...  she said from Careerbuilder.  The number she called from was 734-404-0189.  Goggled her name, and you guys showed up here!  Thank goodness for the internet, right!  Hey Pam - maybe you should change your name now, too.  We're catching on.

I received a call from Pamela from this number and company name Prater & Associates.  I got the same BS, she told me she got my resume from Careerbuilder, I told her I have a legal background, she said she was looking for someone to train and that is opening a new location downriver.  My husband went to talk to them over a year ago, he told me it is a total scam.  They asked him for $1,200 up front to pay for his training!

I received a call from a Pamela using 734-404-0189 phone number asking for my husband. I gave her his cell # and she didn't recognize the area code. I told her what state it was from and she asked "oh, is your husband working there?" I said "yes, but he's ready & willing to get back here to a job  instead of us having to sell our house & move out there." She then proceeded to say that she would call him and see about getting him back here. That was 2 days ago and my husband has not received a call. How can they do this kind of thing? She sounded legit, to think it's a scam! Would love to know how many more people got a call like this....

Received this call too.  Also received one from a Primerica office in Farmington.  I actually went to their presentation.  There is something seriuosly wrong with any organization that:

A. Recruits people to work in a pyramid style structure that relies on new employees for business growth.
B. Will take anyone on as "financial advisor", regardless of their background.
C. Requires you to spend any amount of money up front (which they do)
D. Conducts presentations rather than interviews.  Last time I checked, when looking for a job, you sell yourself to the employer, not the other way around.

Also, look at how many posts in here have multiple negative marks.  That tells me that these people are recognizing this site and coming in to negatively portray postings as illegitimate.  Not true you say? Kind of strange that the only positively rated posting in this thread is one that portrays the subject company in a positive light.

WOW! I am so glad I googled the name and number before even calling it back.  I, too, received this SCAM call on my home phone saying she had read my resume on Career Builder.  Since she didn't leave a call-back number I decided to look up where she called from.  Holy cow!  The lengths people will go to!  Sad.

Yep, she's still out there. I got a call from her this morning. You can always tell a sleaze because they leave no company name in their message. Needless to say I just delete those messages. Se claims she got my resume off Career Builder. People like that shouldn't be allowed access to resume posting sites.

I received a call from Pam Prater just last week - she is still up to it.  She left a voicemail message saying she had found me on careerbuilder as well and was "excited to talk to me about some expansion 'they' are doing in this area."  Thankfully, I googled her before calling her back and getting suckered into a waste of time/scam.  Thank you all for reporting!

Hi there! Got a call from the 404-0189 #. It has been over 2 years since I posted my resume online. I thought it was a little random. I told her I would call back; and googled her number, found this page. Its not worth my time- I appreciate the foresight as there are too many companies out there wasting decent peoples time and energy. What if I took a day off my current job for an interview?!
