Calls and there is silence

incoming call, no message

Said "Hello? Hello? Hello? Hello?" on my answering machine before hanging up.

Let my machine pick it up, there was no sound, they did not leave message.

No answer when picked up

number called numerous times, silence on the other end

I think it is a fundraiser for police or firemen.  I have almost given up answering my phone altogether.

Call once or twice a day, no message

Called today for husband to take a voters survey.  Yesterday...silence.

One call every day between 4pm and 8pm. No one on line, never leaves message.

These calls are from a democratic party calling center. One of the campaigns they serve is Obama for America. I finally got someone on the line today after three weeks of daily calls with no one on the line. Since we are Obama supporters, I begged the caller to talk to their call center techies to adjust the system and to add "democratic party" or something to the caller ID. Our next move was to inquire about blocking the calls but now we won't.

This number is a democratic party calling center. I told them I wasn't even a democrat and they politely agreed to take me off their list.

No message on machine...I don't answer unless they start talking, and they never do.  They do call every night.

Have been receiving calls for a long time.  I just called the number today and there is a recorded message stating that you may put your name on the "do not call" list for that number--so I did.
We will see if that stops the calls.
