Just silence for about 15 seconds,yhen automated vioce said good by.

I got the same exact thing, tried calling back and got a message saying it was incorrect.

Got the same call twice today.  First call, it said "Good bye", second call didn't say anything just instantly hung up.  Call back and it says the number could not be completed as dialed.

These guys are a bunch of [***] goat humping hackers who want to get into your computer. I strongly advise that no one listens to any of the stuff these guys are telling you. They try to get access to your computer and steal any personal information. One of my family members was hit by one of these guys and lost some of her personal info. Please do inform older family members that do have access to phone or computer to not answer or interact with the people. Or even other people who don't have official identification that they work for a computer brand.

Just to let people know that when you get calls & when you answer, no one is there & is silent for a few seconds, then say good-bye or just hangs up, it's mostly a "robo call" trying to see if the number is a good number.  You should never call back as a lot of these numbers may look local but can be attached to a foreign number that you don't see.  It this happens to be the case on a number you receive & you call the number back, you will be billed thousands of dollars by your phone service provider/phone company etc., & there will be nothing you can do but pay it or be dropped from your service & have to pay a hugh fee to get the service back.  These local numbers that are connected to those overseas numbers is like a business for the crooks/scammer etc., as they get paid for your calls many people will call back. To prevent this from happening, do not call a number back you aren't familiar with & have no idea who you are calling back.  This happened to a friend & he now has to use a pay as you go phone for his phone.  So be safe & don't get caught up in this trap by these crooks.

I myself had just about decided to start calling numbers back when my friend told me what happened to him.  Most of these numbers you call back will have some type of recording that says anything like, "I'm sorry, we can't take your call right now" or I'm sorry but all lines are busy at this time buy if you stay on the line, we will be with you shortly".  This is just a couple of things you might get when calling back or it could be anything they have recorded to keep you on the line for a few seconds that will end up costing you thousands of dollars.  So be very careful & don't answer numbers you don't recognize.  Your best bet is to buy some type of phone blocking device or even a blocking service can be added to your phone. You can do some research on the Internet about different blocking devices & blocking services in your area.  You can call your phone provider to see if they might know of some type of service in your area or ask them if they have this service & find out what the cost would be to have it through your phone provider. I myself bought a blocking machine & connected to my home phone & have service through my cell provider for my cell phone for a fee.  Better safe than sorry.
