Just got a call from this number.  Was a man with an indian accent who was very hard to understand.  Said he was from microsoft support and that someone was trying to steal my passwords.  I hung up and he has called back 4 times in the last 5 minutes. Andrew Martin was his name, says he is from Microsoft in san diego california. The 748 area code is not a valid area code

Just got a phone call from a man with a stron Indian accent. When I answered the phone it started to ring as if I called him. I told him to stop  effing calling.. yaaa I swore. And he told me to watch my language. I will probably be put on the call me after midnight regime of phone calls. SO tired of constant BS calls from unknown area codes and no information anywhere.

Received a phone call from this number on 12/20/2014.  Guy with a foreign accent telling me he was from Windows Tech Support.  I told him he was a scammer, that reports of this type of call are widely known, and don't call back again.

2nd & 3rd calls from the same number on 12/22/2014 several hours apart.  First we didn't answer, 2nd was picked up but dead air.  Most recent call was today, answered to dead air.

The Area code is invalid, so I'd imagine the rest of the number is too. Don't know if call blocking would do any good, they obviously don't check DNC lists.

Guy said he worked for Windows....couldn't even use a real company name.  Awful that people are out there trying to take advantage of people....especially on Christmas Eve.

I keep getting calls from the same # every day and sometimes more than once a day. I told the Man who said his name was John from Microsoft. he changes his name every day.I told him I was going to report him to the phone Co. as a harrassement call.I started yelling and then hung up. He proceeded to call me right back on a different # 561-962-0740.He was very rude.So I did report it to my phone Co. They said Microsoft is aware of this problem. They told me how to block the calls. So call your phone Co. and report it!!!!

My second Message on here after yet ....another call from HABIB... (Andrew Martin) Told me I have to pay $49.00 to get off the calling list. I LAUGHED. He then said I will continue to recieve calls until I paid! I handed the phone to my son and he started speaking in a different language. When he asked what he was saying he called him ignorant. Will report this after the holiday.

I have been having computer problems after my son clicked on a "you are a winner" ad on top of chat room he was in.  Messages like "system file will not open" "powershell" failing, on and on.  Ran my security and ran a file cleaner but am losing things on computer.  Security co said it sounded like a hardware problem and I should take tower to a tech.  They would not support me.  I just received a call from "foreigner" stating he is Microsoft support, I told him I took computer to "doctor" and he just started laughing.  I hung up on him, I wish I would have been more patient and listen to his speil.  Good luck out there.

Scam artist just hit me up w/ the BS.  Chinese/Indian man "Vincent" from "San Francisco" requesting access to computer.  Stated there was a technical error with my computer.   He requested that I press "Vindows" and R keys.  Go F yourself ... scam artist.  number 784-475-6623

I accidently answered this number after several rings. After saying hello my call was being transferred to another number. I hung up while it was ringing on the other end. Upon checking the number my wife informed me that she had answered the same number a few days ago when a man with an Indian accent informed her of a computer problem. When she replied that we didn't own one she was called a liar. Beware!!!!!!

I received a call from this indivitual while feeding by live stock. As I did not recognize the caller's number, I did not answer.  Later, while home for lunch, I received a 2nd call from this number, 748-475-6623. I took the call. He identified himself as a Microsoft "Windows" tech support and that my email account has been invaded by hackers.  He asked me to go to my computer and open Enternet Explorer and he would take it from there. I told him I was not near my computer and that I was feeding animals at my barn.  He identified himself as Andrew Martin, very thick Indian accent.  Said he would call me back. I told him it would be best if I phone him. He gave me the following call back number: 855-539-4923 x1004.  I immediately Googled his 748 number and found this very helpful blog.  Took the advice of prior victims, phoned AT&T, my cell phone provider, and blocked Andrew's number.  Beware out there and good luck!

And yet another number to automatically forward to the Attorney General's office. Why not? If they won't help me, they can take all my scam calls!

Received 2 calls on 1/7/15 approx. 1:10 pm...1st call displayed 748-475-6623 w/no name. Foreign accented man said his name was Andrew from Microsoft & I had to immediately go to my computer and he would direct me on how to fix a virus that was taking over my computer.I told him he called me a few times before the end of last yr., 2014 and I had reported him which I did. He hug up!  2nd call was received within seconds displaying unknown # and unknown caller. I told him in many unlady like  explicatives that I knew he was a scam artist, to lose my phone #, He proceeded to argue in a loud tone w/me and told me that I would be receiving many more calls like this until my computer problem was resolved. I did NOT let up on him, w/my explicatives & told him I know he's a scam artist, NOW I was going to sue him for harrassment! He hung up on me.  

I received the same call  and his name was Andrew

Just got the call. I don't answer unknowns generally.  Came here to check.
Coincidentally, Microsoft has been a little off lately.  Their latest updates came in dribs and drabs, and reading the "more info" pages associated with updates was a trip.  I've never seen anything quite like this from them.  To think that consumers are pressured to get this stuff automatically installed.  I've also been having computer problems out of the blue.  There's a lot of nonsense going on out there.  As for this call, I put a call block on this scam.

Just got a call from this number.  It sounds like the same guy based upon the other comments.  He said he was with 'Windows'.  I asked 'So you actually work for Microsoft?'  He said he did.  I indulged him to see how far it went.  He wanted me to enter the command line EVENEVWR in my 'run' menu.  I was tempted to scream at him, but just hung up.  I can only imagine what malware he would have had me put on my computer.

Stop calling!!!

I received a call from 748-474-6623. This guy with strong Indian accent said he called to rectify a problem with my computer. I asked which no. he tried to reach. He said he did not want to reach any no. but asked me to open my computer. I replied I did not have any computer. I could imagine his annoyance. Then he tried if I had internet connect. I once again replied no internet connection. Then he disconnected the line. By curious, I searched for this no and I luckily landed on this interesting page.

Caller does not leave a message. I was receiving several calls a week from this number a few months ago and it started again.
