I received a call from a woman with s heavy Asian accent telling me that I have been selected to receiving $9,200 from the government. I could barely understand her and she told me I couldn't understand because I wasn't listening. Finally told I wasn't interested and hung up. She called me 3 times. She told me it wasn't going to cost me anything. Everyone knows you never get anything for free.

I just got the same phone call! Same Asian lady; I always find it odd that when I get calls like this or the ones that are about you or someone in your family having a medical procedure that has legal ramifications they always end the sentence with an O.K. As if they are telling you to say yes! Anyway, Is there a way to report these people?

Yes you call the fcc and the ftc and report suspected scam. Give them the number and the info you have and they will register it on a watch list.  Oh block the number if you can

same thing.... bad accent and fishy.

Why the phone companies let people do that they sure have some people working against this Topeka of situation

I feel left out !! They don't let the phone ring over once then just a dial tone. I don't even get a $$$ offer or get to talk to the Asian girls !

Broken English said name was Matthew, asked for J O E.  when I said I don't know who that is he said he was calling from the united states government in washington dc  -  I hung up - had called several times before with no message...

had similar experience.  when I called back I was told number was not in service.

This has been happening to me for the past week now ive been getting scam calls for awhile now from different numbers wth do i do?? Its a 750 #

I also just received a call from this number, but didn't pick up, so I looked it up, found these messages, glad I didn't answer!  Thanks to all who came before me.

This fool said that I was selected cause I had no criminal record didn't owe the IRS and thats why I was selected, wrong im a falon and owe the IRS hundreds of thousands.

He threaten  me because he want money thinking   I am illegal  in this country and he is calling from state department. but I am a citizen for long time. I like to catch this caller from any where in the world. How he find my name and number?. I lie to report who is selling this my private information?

I am in this country to have good life to enjoy as a honest law abiding citizen. But these people calling me to make my life measurable. I would like to take them to US court to stop them if I can  find who are they.

Couldn't understand name after asking twice, I only understood that he was calling from some office with the "United States".  Before he went any further I told him to take me off of his calling list and don't call back then I hung up the phone.  Total scam!!!  If this had of been a legitimate call the US government knows where to find me.

My friend we have telemarketers here.I compare them to flies,cockroaches,and mosquitos.
There is a do not call list,and you can register your number with the dnc list,as its supposed to keep telemarketers from calling,UNLESS ITS A POLITICAL CALL,OR MAYBE FOR THE POLICE FUNDRAISER,or at least im led to believe that to be true.perhaps another person can tell you if thats the truth.You have options,as reporting them to the F.C.C.,or the gobernment agency that deals with scams and crooks.
It is illegal for a telemarketer to call you on your cellphone.please look up on computer how to report them and who to report them to.i report every one of them that calls me.also you can sue the company if they keep calling you,but the trouble with that is they use a spoofed phone number to call you,so nobody can catch them.i still havent a clue how they spoof numbers.thank you my friend.i hope America is all you hooed it would be.
